This is our second year staying at the Acorn cabin and we love it! Sarah is very responsive and the cabin is super well equipped and maintained. It is a perfect location for a great vacation up north!

Spent 4 nights with some friends for golf and to celebrate a 50th Birthday. This place was great! Awesome, quiet location for some relaxation after a day on the links. The house was more than big enough to accommodate our group of 8. Would definitely recommend to anybody looking to spend some time in the Crosslake area.

We loved the house. There was plenty of room to sneak away and read a boom. The lower level had a bunch of TVs to watch 3 different sports games while playing pool. The deck was great. The dock was perfect. The owners provided kayaks and paddle boards. The lake was beautiful and there was a beach.
The owners were very responsive. We had an issue with the washing machine and they sent a plumber at 9pm to fix it.
I could go on but you get the point. This is a spot you won’t forget!

We had a fantastic stay at the Acorn. The home was well cared for, had everything we needed and more! I have rented several properties from VRBO and other sites. This one had by far was the most clean and equipped property, filled with high end items that you would want at your own home. Plenty of room to cook, sit and visit inside and then access to take advantage of all the Whitefish Chain has to offer on the outside. We brought our own pontoon (must have for exploring the area), but we also really enjoyed fishing off the dock, the paddle boards, kayaks and cornhole set as well. Sarah is an excellent communicator, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Even the neighbors were really friendly, something you don't often see when at a rental property! I could go on and on, but go ahead and rent it and see for yourself!

Loved the woodsy setting, with direct access to the lake! Also really appreciated being in the smaller Island Lake during days-long rain and wind. Felt sheltered, and we were able to keep our boat in the water during the storms. Easy access to Whitefish Chain, and the city of Crosslake. Appreciated the spacious and well-appointed lower level on rainy days. Effectively 6 sleeping spaces (loft area and lower level bunk beds are without doors). Perfect for three families with small children.

Excellent property. Plenty of room inside and outside. We brought 2 boats and had a great time. We even enjoyed the games/puzzles in the house during rain and other down times! Definitely would suggest to a friend!

We stayed at this cabin for our annual multi generation summer gathering.
This cabin was spacious. There was enough room for us all to make ourselves comfortable and not be on top of each other. We loved the deck! It was big enough for us all to relax and enjoy our meals together outside. The location was amazing - close to town, but not on a busy part on the lake.
Communication with our host was great. She was responsive to all of our inquiries before and during our stay.
We look forward to returning next year.

This home really overdelivers. It's beautifully furnished and on 3 levels so lots of privacy if traveling with friends or family. Can't beat the location for the lake and town. We've been to Crosslake before and will definitely go again. It's a wonderful place to visit. Host was excellent to work with and provide everything you need for a relaxing stay!

Perfect location to host our family get together. We love Crosslake and being on the chain of lakes, but just off the main traffic area was lovely. This home had plenty of space to spread out as well as a connected main level to be together. We had a few generations and the main floor bedroom had a perfect pocket door to a bathroom for my elderly mother. There were more toys than we could use in the time we visited. We had access to water toys, life jackets, coolers and yard games. The views were lovely and it is our favorite place we have rented for our group of 12. We will return.

Our stay was absolutely perfect. The cabin was just as described, located in a peaceful bay a short boat ride away from Crosslake. The hosts were very accommodating. We will definitely be back!

I would like to mention a few things that are not going to show up on the profile of the property: First, the lake is quiet and perfect for the kayaks and paddle boards provided by the homeowner. The high-quality equipment let us explore the amazing wildlife of the connected lakes. Second, the furniture and appliances are exceptionally high quality and comfortable which was a nice surprise as we usually see "leftovers" in most rental homes. Third, despite the location appearing in a small inlet, the dock was sturdy and it was quite easy to dock the pontoon we rented in town. Finally, the primary suite was perfect for people with mobility limitations (large bathroom, smooth flooring, ample space). Close to Crosslake recreation area with and a beautiful beach and campground, paved pathways, and ice cream or coffee, this is a perfect vacation spot!

Very nice place and well stocked with amenities. Sarah was incredibly nice and accessible. You cannot go wrong with this VRBO. Location on the lake is quiet and peaceful. The only thing I would change, checkout was 10am, would be so much nicer for 11am.

Our multigenerational family of five adults and four kids (5 mos. to 7 yrs) had an amazing week at the Acorn house. The property is stunning and comes with enough water toys and yard games to keep a family busy all week - plus a great supply of games and books that kept everyone entertained for hours. We rented a pontoon and a Lily pad and enjoyed cruising around the lakes and swimming in various places. Sarah (the host) was great - very responsive and proactive. It was a pleasure working with her on this booking.

Our family stay with 6 adults and 3 kids was fantastic. The property seems brand new and has good quality. It has great spaces for groups to gather inside and out. We seemed to gravitate to the sunroom. It was so comfortable to sit and just hang out. The sauna and game room downstairs got used many times during the week by the adults and kids. The kitchen is well stocked so we weren’t wanting for anything. The grill is a high quality Weber we used several times plus they have a pellet grill we didn’t use.
The location is great for boating. The dock was nice and secure. It’s fairly shallow out front but it accommodated our 21 ft boat easily. There are many pontoons and decent size boats on neighboring properties. A couple of nice things about the location were it’s proximity to a good size scenic, quiet island lake and access to the much bigger whitefish lake. Super quick to get to both. The bay was really nice for anchoring up and swimming.
Sarah was super proactive and helpful with any direction or questions that came up. Since it’s newer there was only one review when we booked but I’m sure there will be many more positive ones to follow. We would highly recommend and will book again for our size of group.

What an amazing place! My friends and I stayed here for a girls' weekend and were in love with the coziness, comfort of each room, and what the property all had to offer. We each got our own king bed, all of which were super comfortable. We loved the sauna, watching the swans from the sunroom in the morning, and reading in different nooks around the cabin. It was the perfect combination of cozy and spacious. The living room, sunroom with lofted ceilings and sky lights, basement family room (with walkout) and upstairs loft area were all great spaces to hang as a group. At the same time, the bedrooms were private and offered a nice escape form the main living areas. The owner's suite has beautiful bathroom and another reading nook. The kitchen was huge and plenty of space to cook for a group. We especially loved the family games and toys for the little one who joined us. We were there in the fall, but talked about how great the space would be for the summer. There was a nice sandy beach, a beautiful island right across from the lake access, and what looked like lots of fun beach toys to make the most of summer. The cabin's property was quiet and serene, but located within walking distance from a couple spots to eat. There was even more to do in town, which was just a few minutes of a drive. We all wished we could have extended our stay--we were all so relaxed and comfortable! The host was quick to respond and had easy instructions for check-in and check-out. This cabin is a definite must-stay spot if you are looking at the Crosslake area!
