Great apartment on the lake front. Lovely location to relax and be on the lakeside.

My daughter and I enjoyed a quiet summer week on the lake in Maine, it doesn't get much better than that!
Great place for 2 people, doesn't have a washer/dryer but everything else.
We had a wonderful time.

Inaccurately presented. No front view of property, no place to park unless you block residents, there's a man living upstairs who blares the TV, and I was not informed about his presence on the property until the day of my arrival. SMELLS--previous travelers mentioned lake water seeping into the apartment and that's the scent. Apartment very close to lake, feels very dank. Pile of junk right outside, lots of mosquitoes.

This place in the perfect spot on Messalonskee. Easy access to the lake, as well as Great Pond. The accomdations were clean and had everythong we needed to make a hearty dinner after two cold long days of ice fishing.

We needed a place to stay for a few days before our son’s wedding and we love being by the water. This sweet little apartment put us super close to the waters edge where we could watch every facet of the changing lake. It was wonderful to go right out the door and paddle. Also enjoyed the outdoor seating, picnic table and fire pit. The place was well kept and well supplied.

We arrived on Friday evening with a warm welcome from the owners and a warning about for my 4yo son about a trench near my entrance from the recent demolition of a house next door.
The apartment was very clean and easy to find everything. I would mention if you are on the shorter side or travel with small children, bring a stool. The bed was a little hard, but I added the foam topper and it was a little bit better.
Access to the water is a little rough and blocked by trees. You can always jump off dock, but there isn't a ladder. So be cautious and wear watershoes.
Recommendations to add to the room, maybe add a binder for guests with restaurant recommendations, places to visit, a place for guests to leave other guests a message.
Another great moment for my son was having the tree cutters come to remove a gigantic pine tree.

Perfect location for a weekend away from home. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed for our stay and the space was nicely laid out. Looking forward to visiting again!

Very nicely furnished and decorated lower level apartment right on the water. We chose it primarily due to its location near family we were visiting. As we were familiar with other lake properties in the area owned by family members I inquired before our arrival about the water source. It is lake water coming into the apartment which renters should be aware of. They do provide bottled water but there could have been clearer signage in the residence regarding this. Also, for us, the use of strong smelling detergent and/or fabric softener on the sheets and towels was overpowering. If we were to stay again I would request the use of unscented laundry products or bring my own sheets and towels. Overall though, it was one of the nicest vrbo properties we have rented and we haved used a lot over the years. I would highly recommend it to others.

Wonderful lakefront stay. Location is amazing being right on the lake. Cozy and comfortable. A little difficult finding it after dark as the driveway is narrow with trees on both sides. Quiet and peaceful. We would definitely recommend and will stay again in the future.
