Summary
Built in the 1850's, this character-filled cottage has been lovingly restored to enjoy those modern comforts, while still retaining its charm and original beauty.
Located in one of Launceston's original streets, this historical cottage is moments away from some of Launceston's popular eateries, shops, cocktail bars, green grocer and supermarket. Only two blocks from the Launceston General Hospital, and within walking distance to many other amenities, this position is hard to beat!
Space
As you arrive, you'll be transported back to the mid 1800's. There is so much to admire here such as the charming exterior, lovely white-picket fence and lightly painted brickwork, you'll be itching to see what is inside!
Enter the home through the front door, where the character and charm continues. Step inside and make your way into the homes double bedroom. A double bed, free-standing wardrobe, thoughtful décor and decorative fireplace are all featured here, creating a beautiful space for your stay.
The homes queen bedroom is located at the end of the entry hallway, where you'll be treated to a plush Queen bed, extra heating options, free-standing wardrobe, views into the backyard and a comfy single-sofa chair.
On the opposite side of the hallway you'll find the homes main living area. With its welcoming furnishings and décor, comfy couch and smart TV you'll surely find comfort in here. A standout feature is the original, brick fireplace that has been thoughtfully renovated to house an electric, faux fireplace.
Within the dining space you'll find a sweet four-seater dining suite for you to enjoy your meals. Integrated into this space is a cosy little study nook with a desk catering to the travelling professionals.
To enter the kitchen, you'll need to take two steps down through a low doorway. Please be mindful of this and watch your step. In the kitchen you'll find all you require. With modern appliances and cookware and all the essentials you should require, this space is an absolute delight!
The bathroom-laundry area is light and bright. Within the pce you'll find a washing machine and a spacious combined shower-bath, providing you with the option to enjoy a nice, long soak after a big day.
The outdoor area includes a parking pad, a small, patio, a BBQ and a two-seater outdoor setting for you to enjoy a cup of coffee in the sunshine. There is also the quaintest little seating area found under shelter, on the grassed area to relax in, and enjoy the fresh air.
Additional features to be mentioned within the home include a large, reverse-cycle heat pump and a porta-cot and high chair to cater to the littlest members of the family.
Please note that the entrance to the driveway and the street itself are narrow in nature and are not suited to larger vehicle

Launceston has many things to see and do including the vibrant Harvest Market every Saturday morning, the Princess Theatre, hosting local, interstate, and international performances, the Star Theatre for a cosy, cinematic experience, and many pubs and venues that host amazing live, musical talents.
Often referred to as the 'Lygon’ Street of Launceston, you will find some of Launceston’s most popular eateries and amenities on the illustrious Charles Street. George St is also known as ‘Eat Street’ with a range of restaurants, bars, gin houses and cafes to cater for most tastes.
The Cataract Gorge is a spectacular natural formation where you can enjoy long and short walks, fresh water swimming basins, the world's longest single-span chairlift and vibrant peacocks! An additional, unique way to experience this attraction is via the Tamar Cruise vessel, which cruises through the waters that carve between the rocky formations.
The City Park which is known for its beautiful oak tree gardens, playground for the children, a plant-filled conservatory and cheeky snow monkeys. Nearby, you will find Penny Royal World. This attraction provides you and the family with a fabulous day out, with boat rides, rock climbing, rope courses, and more found here. For the adults, Penny Royal also provides a beautiful atmosphere where you can enjoy a wine or coffee.
Also an area to note is the Seaport Precinct. Here you will find some of Launceston’s most beloved restaurants and bars scattered along the edges of the Tamar River. Restaurants to note are Mud Restaurant and Bar, the Levee Food Co. and Spice. Across the bridge you will find the Riverbend Park for all day play entertainment. You will also find the Boathouse Café and Silo Hotel.

METRO BUS SERVICE: Metro bus service provides transportation throughout Launceston and its surrounding suburbs each day. To access timetables, routes, and prices, please visit the Metro Tasmania Website.
FREE TIGER BUS: The bus travels around the city. There are bus stops located nearby outside Princes Square Park and the Launceston General Hospital. It is easy to spot – painted with the black and brown stripes of a Tasmanian Tiger! For timetables and routes, please see the Metro Tasmania Website (Free Tiger Bus).
ELECTRIC SCOOTERS: You will find purple electric scooters scattered around Launceston. To access these, please download the App ‘Beam’. Please wear the helmet provided and be safe!
