this place would be great after a deep clean. location was perfect and the space was totally sufficient for our family of four. however, i found too many dust bunnies to be truly comfortable. baseboards were filthy and there was chalk dust all over the kitchen (large blackboard on the wall). we appreciated a lot of things about the place but couldn't truly feel comfortable with the level of cleanliness.

Parking for one vehicle. Location showing some age and could use some deep cleaning. A variety of restaurants located nearby.

I wouldn’t stay here again. I’m sure the owners are lovely but the property management company was terrible. They didn’t communicate properly and change the access code hours before. The property was not clean when we arrived- food and crumbs on couch and the floor was gross. Non of the fitted sheets fit the beds. Amazing location but home not great.

We had a really nice stay at this property. We loved the location-very safe and quiet. The property had comfortable beds, plenty of towels, and the TV and Internet worked fine. The place is dusty/dirty and needs a good cleaning. Also, the communication for check in etc could be much better. Less than 24 hrs before check in, we still had received NO information on the address or how to get in to the unit. Once I messaged the rental company, Red Awning, they had to reach out to another compnay, All Set, to get that info for us - all of which took just over an hour. Normally with VRBO and other such options, I am given the check in info well ahead of time (at least a few days).

We were charmed by the walkable neighborhood and kid-crossable quiet streets. A historic heatwave loomed over Chicago that week, but the townhouse stayed cool. Some appreciated convenience were in-unit laundry, extra powder room downstairs and pleasant dine-in kitchen. Nearby Bauler Park playlot looked tempting, too, but it was just too hot for jungle gyms.

We really enjoyed the neighborhood. Easy walk to brown/purple line.

Accurate description and located very close to great spots.

Somewhat tired property but ok all around. Wi-Fi didn’t work well but owner coached me to restart router and that helped somewhat. At least 2 workspaces in this location which is good. Overall kinda blah space.

We stayed here to celebrate my Mom's 83rd Birthday in Chicago. Place needs a good dusting and some minor repairs. I would have preferred a locking gate and functioning porch light out front. I had to reach out to 3 different companies to get assistance when the washer stopped working. The beds were comfy and it was cute but could use some finishing touches to make it better.

Great property. Amazing location. And a dedicated parking spot!

Loved the property & it’s location but it’s managed by a third party so communications are managed very differently (ie, access info was not sent until a couple of hours before checkin) & none of that is explained in the property description. The description also says cable is included but it wasn’t. The very brief instructions for the tv noted it was an LG tv but it was actually a Toshiba - ended up going back & forth with the third party to get the issue fixed which was resolved with a new tv (but still no cable) almost 48 hours after checkin. The whole experience was frustrating and time consuming and required me to change some of my plans on my limited stay in Chicago. Also did not get any sort of refund for the inconvenience plus not having something that was noted in the description.

Great property and location for a stay in the Lincoln Park area.

The unit was amazing, it’s in a great location. The price for the weekend was great. It had everything we needed. Including parking!
The only downside with this is how the listing is managed and the lack of communication as a whole. From what it appears, it’s owned by a Vacation Rental Agency, named RedAwning. While everything else is managed outside of VRBO by a property management company, named AllSet Turnover. This is all fine and dandy, if this was stated anywhere in the listing. Which I didn’t see it listed anywhere. All the emails for coordination, check-in, rules, anything of the sort will come from AllSet Turnover. The listing seems to be just a copy and paste of their other properties, which is fine. And any communication from AllSet Turnover seems to be automated which makes the reading through things clunky but that’s also fine. Just something to be aware of when dealing with this listing. I wish that anywhere in this listing would have said that or there would have been a Vrbo message stating that. Only reason I didn’t delete the email is from reading previous reviews.
Outside of that, great spot! Would stay again.

Stayed here for a few nights and had an excellent time. Great location to restaurants and is a quiet neighborhood. Really enjoyed our time.

The property was nice and a great location for our family and the activities we were doing over the holiday. There were just minor issues with the property which included the TV/Internet going out numerous times per day, many of the the electrical and light switches were not working properly, kitchen tools like thongs and other items missing, and the sheets in the front bedroom did not fit the bed and kept coming off. The cleanliness of the bathroom could have been better with tile falling off in certain areas. It would have been great to use the fireplace as well. Overall it worked out good, just a few items that should be fixed moving forward. RT

Thank you for kitchen condiments and nice furnishings that met our needs. It was nice to have a washer and dryer along with a designated parking space. Communication with the property manager was good. Beds and space were comfortable. We needed to stay in the area, so this was perfect. I was glad that it was available and would stay again. Note that if you do a few loads of laundry, there may not be enough hot water for two showers, so shower first or do a cold water wash. This was minor but worth mentioning. Still a great stay.

Right from day 1 the DW did not work. There were dirty dishes inside of it. I had two kids with me, and it was really hard to wash the dishes with hand. I called VRBO, Redawning and they asked me to call the host and it was really hard to get anybody to address this issue.

The first night the power went out to 2/3 of the house. I woke and flipped all of the circuit breakers off and on. power was restored ever so briefly. the rest of the weekend the power continued to fail over the same 2/3 of the house. i called the first day about this issue. The property manager said their handyman said the issue was because we had “a bunch of electronics plugged in”. we had 2 iphone chargers plugged in. the issue was never addressed. We continued to lose power every 40 minutes or so.
Don’t stay here.

Great two bedroom condo in Old Town that is within walking distance of Armitage and many other areas! Each bedroom has its own dedicated work space (including one with a monitor!) and there is ample room to set up a pack n play crib if needed. Unit also has dedicated parking but there is also street parking available if needed.

The experience was exactly what we need for our trip to a family wedding that took place in Lincoln Park. The home was good space for my husband and I and my adult children. Great location and easy to get to stores and areas around Chicago.

Great location and great accommodations! Perfect for a family looking for a nice walkable neighborhood close to some great attractions.

We spent a week in Chicago to tour the city, with two kids under 6yo. This residence was a big contributor to a wonderful trip. The neighborhood was gorgeous - tree lined streets, very safe….and walkable to subway, restaurants, North Ave beach and the zoo. The apartment was clean and had plenty of space to hang out in when we weren’t bouncing around the city. Stephanie the host was very responsive and helpful throughout the week. We would definitely recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

I cannot believe what a terrible experience we had at this property. For the price they are charging, please beware. The unit was so dirty and not cleaned well at all. We had two major issues, not enough hot water and the parking. The parking spot always has garbage cans in it which makes it impossible to park your car. I contcted the managment company numerous times to get out of our contract and they took forever to get back to me. They did offer to buy a new hot water heater. The cabinets are very hold and don't open all the way, the top floor doesn't get as much air conditionoing so it's very hot when you sleep. I found the house to be very un kept and needing many upgrades and they are charging an outrage price for what you get. I tried to get out of my 3 week stay because it did not meet any expectation of cleanliness, parking, air conditioner and inadequate amount of water. I wouldn't stay here ever again.

Two-stories town house in a very nice area of Chicago, with tree-lined residential streets, 10min walk from the lake and just north of the loop. Clean, airy, comfortable place.

This was a great home base for getting to know Chicago! 10 minutes walking distance to the brown/purple and red lines, 10-15 minutes on the train to the city. Peaceful, magical neighborhood and easy-to-live-in house! Great water pressure in the shower, inclusive streaming apps on the TV, and fully stocked kitchen. Only minor note is that the mattresses are a bit too hard for side sleepers. Ideal for stomach sleepers though!

This was a wonderful place to stay while my friend and I came to visit our daughters who live in Chicago! Having a parking spot was a big plus! This home was just what we needed with 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths! Thanks for letting us stay in your home!

This place is close to CTA brown line. Train ride to the loop and Michigan ave area are both short. The old town neighborhood has lots of restaurants, bars, and stores that are all close to this place.

The apartment is very spacious for a Chicago apartment! The immediate neighborhood is quiet. Convenient parking is provided at no extra cost. The apartment is also walking distance from a good number of restaurants, bars, shops, and Lincoln Park Zoo. Would definitely stay here again.

This townhome was everything we hoped it would be, and more! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed for cooking and enjoying takeout. The dining table with seating for 6 made eating together such a treat! The beds were very comfortable. It was so quiet too! We enjoyed walking to Lincoln Park for Zoo lights, as well as walking to nearby restaurants. Another bonus was having a parking space! We couldn’t have dreamed of a better location. We hope to stay here again next time we are in Chicago!

Cute condo. Plenty of room for the 4 of us. Great location, pleasant walk to Old Town. Ample parking for our stay right out in front. No permit stickers required to park on the block right outside the the condo! Lots of spices and kitchen stuff in stock. Owner was extremely quick with replies. Thank you!!
