Like all "other people's homes", this one has its issues. Spotty wi-fi, Google TV, very hot in the summer, needs downstairs A/C or fans, and the grounds are overgrown.
However, I found it mostly restful and pleasant. Very quiet, nice small town and surrounding areas (But VERY expensive). Kitchen is large with LOTS of cupboard space. The upstairs screen porch is nice for reading and relaxing - but it needs furniture. The screen area off the dining room is quiet and looks out on ferns and trees - it needs furniture.
My dogs were happy, didn't get aggravated by people walking by or traffic.

Our family had plenty of room. There was no instructions regarding the trash and recyclables. There were no grab bars in the stone shower. There should have been a chair in the bedroom. There should be a sensor light outside when you come home in the dark. Per the notice we could have parked 4 cars, no way with that steep driveway. Parking is a little tricky. With that said everything was fine. Our stay was great. We really were only there to sleep.

The house was nice, clean, and in a good location. The problem I had was there was snow in the driveway when we arrived and the driveway wasn't plowed. The driveway is uphill to the house and our cars were getting stuck trying to get up to the top. I called the host to report that the driveway needed to be plowed and I was told that they do not plow the drive. They said yard work and light maintenance were the responsibility of the renter. I contacted VRBO and the host still refused to plow. I explained that the listing did not disclose that plowing was the responsibility of the renter and then threatened to get my attorney involved. They decided to plow the driveway. Be sure you understand the terms before renting.

We enjoyed our stay. It is a beautiful property. The only complaint I have is the TV did not have any good channels. No news channels not cable etc..

We try to get to Vermont every month. I’m from there and it means a lot to get back to my home state. I pick different locations each time so we can learn more about the various areas of the state. I honestly have never spent any time in Quechee or Woodstock. The house is in a perfect location for both. It’s in a very quiet area and convenient to stores and restaurants. The house itself is bigger than I expected with plenty of bedrooms if you’re bringing your family. The kitchen is well appointed although we are coffee drinkers and the mugs were cups, not mugs. I would recommend the owners get some good size mugs for the coffee and tea drinkers. It was a Vacasa managed property so the check in and out makes it very easy.

Good house in a good location. Downsides are no screens on windows, beds are not very comfortable and seating in the living room could be better. Overall a good house to rent.

Pros: I love the area the house is located in. The house was cute, with a lot of rooms. The house was clean. The rooms were spacious.
Cons: There were a ton of spiders everywhere in the house. While the house is set back from the road (which is cool), you can easily miss the driveway to the home entrance, especially when the daytime light is gone.

A nice house that has been lived in. I would have given it more stars, but the spiders got me. (if you are ok with those, then this house is great)

Beautiful house that is well set up for a family stay. Screen porch was a nice way to enjoy the outside even during the rain. Great we could bring the doggies too!

This house could be quite nice if the owners kept up with it. Dinged walls, stained carpet, etc. can be overlooked. But alas a few unfortunate things that impacted the enjoyment of our stay:
No screens on the windows - stayed in June , and would’ve liked to of been able to open windows but couldn’t. (Lots of bugs outside)
No shades on the windows -sun in your face early every morning.
Crazy strong smell of smoke/soot in living room and dining area. I am going to assume it’s from the old fireplace that doesn’t work. It was so strong we couldn’t hang out in the living room much.
Holes in screened porch - nice space but again the bugs!
A few positives - big house with lots of space and bedrooms. Updated kitchen but not well stocked if you want to cook ( just the basics for eating), good location.

Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay at the house. The only negative was lack of a few common items. Oven mitts and cutting board.
And there were no blinds or any window treatments on the bedroom windows which allowed the sun to come in super early. Other than that it was a lovely place.

The house was very clean on the inside. Bed Linens and bed were very nice. A nice big kitchen but missing some essential like potholders , a bottle opener that works, dust pan, no spices. Sitting areas need more places to sit. It was 90 degrees when we stayed — there is no ac, no fans, plus none of the windows had screens or shades/curtains. Plus without shades/curtains, even in bathrooms, made it uncomfortable since you had no privacy. It has no yard to hang out in but it does have a deck and 2 screened in porches (again, not enough sitting for a family of 3-4 to sit)
I would stay there again but hope they make some updates to make it more comfortable

We enjoyed the house for a weekend hosting a few of our sons friends from Dartmouth for a big home cooked meal. The house and set up were pretty close to the listing with a few exceptions.
Pros:
House is nestled in the woods, very peaceful. Bedding towels, most furniture pretty comfortable. Set up of bedrooms good for parents with older kids or separate couples wanting privacy/separate bathrooms as one bedroom/bathroom on separate staircase off kitchen above garage. Area very quaint. Quechee cute. Great market down the road. Wi-Fi is good and nice outdoor areas. (There is no lawn really - consideration if bringing dogs)
Cons: the house was in a little rough shape. Outside areas, back porch and screened porch were full of debris, leaves, snow. One of our guests, kindly swept and shoveled the areas so we could use. The railing going to the bedroom over the garage was broken, pulled completely out of the wall. Only 4 chairs around dining table and one needs glue! The kitchen needs a blender, cutting boards, a few more big pans and big mugs :). And the stove is gas, which I love, but needs a tuneup as the spark igniter continues to click the whole time you’re cooking. Slightly disconcerting.
All in all a lovely comfortable place in need of a few minor tweaks.

Beautiful beautiful home and area! Absolutely loved the set up of the home. Wish there was more furniture to make it comfortable for us to watch tv all together, and wish the fire place worked. Only thing I think the listing should point out is that the driveway is a hill, so in snow it may be hard to get up. Issues were handled fairly quickly. The small town is cute, with fun activities within an hour, Walmart and restaurants were only 15 minutes away as well which made it convenient! Would love to see this property and town in the fall!

the location was nice- a bit of a drive to Killington where we skied most days, but a pretty drive. the reason for 4 stars, not 5 is that as Vacasa property the kitchen was not provisioned AT ALL. so you need to bring or buy EVERYTHING. salt and pepper, sugar, olive oil. EVERYTHING. this wasn't hard so much as something we had not thought to do so it added a stop-- and the house is not particularly near any grocery stores. for a shorter stay it's a bit of a drag to have to pack or purchase all those basics. Also, thanks to whoever warned that there would be no toilet paper. We did bring that and sure enough there was none. But if you know to pack your kitchen basics and toilet paper the house is otherwise well appointed- lots of pillows, towels, clean sheets and back up blankets.

The house was great - we had a great time with our young family. Taking off one star because the railing is broken and it was dangerous with the kids. Otherwise it was fantastic.

The house was clean inside. The walkway leading to the door was not cleared well and very icy. And there were very little basics inside. We had to go out and buy toilet paper and paper towels. But overall we had a nice stay.
