About this cabin rental
Experience your own "A River Runs Through It" at our updated Montana homestead. Located in Condon, MT we are in the Swan Valley, sitting between the Swan and Mission Mountains.
Our homestead has been renovated to offer magical experiences. The River House sits on 19 acres on the confluence of the Swan River and Glacier Creek.
Between the peaks of the mountains, the forest and the river you are transported to a time of beauty and peace. Come and connect with all that matters.
The home has been here since 1927 with all the updates including AC and a new wood stove. The River House has a main floor bedroom with a king bed and attached full bathroom. The living room has a pull out queen couch then walk upstairs towards 2 bedrooms and 1/2 bath. The home has a cozy feel encouraging relaxation and connection. From the bedrooms you can hear the creek rushing by.
In addition to The River House we have 3 other buildings for you to utilize. Across from the main cabin is The Confluence Cabin, a renovated log cabin that has 1 pullout couch, a place for intimate gatherings or solace.
The Gathering Space is a previous shop that is now a recreational area with a pool table, large sectional and 75 inch TV with an adjoining full bathroom.
Th last building is a renovated barn, now The Bar Barn. The interior has authentic animal stalls that have been changed into sitting areas complete with chandeliers and original wood floors. The outside has an 11 foot outdoor bar with 8 bar stools offering a professional setup for all to enjoy. It overlooks the mountains and the banks of the Swan River. All the furniture was chosen for comfort. We also have a swim spa for exercise or as a hot tub that can fit up to 12 people.
This area remains wild due to the unique placement of being between 2 wilderness areas, Bob Marshall and Mission Mountains Wilderness. Along with extensive public access for hiking there are thousands of lakes to walk or drive to with abundant wildlife including grizzly bears, wolves and mountain lions.
Living here is like stepping back into time, a simpler life surrounded by beauty. Just down the dirt road is Swan Valley Center a small grocery store with a bigger grocery store 3 miles down the hwy, 1/2 mile from our home is Liquid Louis an authentic Montana bar and another 5 miles down the highway is The Hungry Bear Bar and Grill. We live with a perfect combination of wilderness and amenities.
Looking for more to see we are only 79 miles from Missoula, MT and 45 miles from Bigfork, MT which sits on the shores of Flathead Lake. From Bigfork, Glacier Park is another 45 miles with Whitefish, MT 35 miles. Come enjoy Montana the way it use to be and lucky for us still is at The River House! Please note there are no events allowed without prior approval and additional fees, for information on events please contact me.
