Location, laundry facility, elevator, bedrooms, luggage room
Entrance code not working, overflowing shower, room was too warm - AC not in all rooms. Loud nightlife didn’t quite describe the noise level and vibration.

Very nice apartment. Equpiped with all you need to need for a comfortable stay. Very good to have a full equpped kitche to prepare your own food. Perfect location in the town center.

If you are looking for a place to stay in downtown Halifax, this is a great option. The room is a great size - essentially a studio apartment, which was great as I was working from there. The essentials are provided (full kitchen, dishes) and the bed was very comfortable so slept very well. Earplugs are provided, which is thoughtful (useful for summer visitors).
I wanted an affordable place downtown and this exceeded expectations. Self-service was new for me but it was well through out, so check in/out not a problem.
The self-service was new for me so checking in and during the power outage was an adjustment in trying to sort out what was going on. For the power outage, I was advised thru the Booking app (vs mobile, which they had) so didn't see it right away. Checking in was on me; didn't read the instructions properly (codes were provided in order of room then lobby vs lobby, which you need first, then room so entered room code in lobby - oops).

It was perfect as it is close to my Daughter's apartment, which is too small for me to stay in when I visit. It was fine that there were no staff on hand - all self serve. And the information about being in the entertainment district sure was true. There was a loud event right next door during the day when I arrived, and it was going to be loud at night. but then the party was done by the time I went to bed. I would make an effort to be on the other side of the building on my next building. Otherwise, super comfortable, clean and well set up suite.
can be noisy on that one side as there is a patio right below. But it turned out to be fine.

The facility was not busy, I didn't see any other people, so it was wonderfully quiet.
Self-check in was easy once I went through the process.
Though there is no parking for the facility, the hollis street parkade is about 2 minutes walking distance, easy to bring luggage etc without needing to park out front. Laundry facilities were on the same floor as the unit, and were clean.
The room was very tidy and well appointed with all the necessities (kitchen: full size fridge with freezer, oven and microwave with toaster and kettle in the drawers etc; I have a personal preference for dish cloths for cleaning and I couldn't find any, but other supplies were provided; ironing board and closet space for professionals; seating and work surfaces). The bed was pushed up against the wall which may be tricky for 2 people but worked fine for me and was comfortable and warm.
The shower head is quite high (I'm 5'4" and had to reach quite high to adjust), and would likely fit those who are near the 6' range. The shower itself is spacious and had shampoo/conditioner and body wash provided.
Very conveniently located next to many coffee shops and breakfast places, all within a short walk, or you can grab a couple basic groceries along the way and make your own in the suite. Fantastic location for any evening/late night activities downtown as it's quite centrally located around clubs, restaurants etc and not far from Scotiabank Centre. However, it can be quite busy with traffic/construction during business hours so keep in mind when driving. Parking was easy to find after hours but is more difficult if coming during business hours (730-8am etc). Also, Barrington street is a main route for many bus routes that can get you around town (most, if not all are accessible for wheelchairs etc) with a bus stop almost at the door step.
My only complaint is the shower floor: the lower lip for the shower door wasn't quite high enough and was prone to some over flow and leaking and the grade in the shower resulted in a fair bit of water pooling.
Personal preferences:
I would have preferred the water to be hotter but I realize not everyone likes to cook themselves in the shower ;)
The self-check in was generally smooth, however mine had a couple of little bumps (took some time to receive the codes for access after check-in) and needed to use the assist for help but they were expeditious and easy to communicate with. This may be difficult for those not as technologically inclined but I believe that the online check-in process is described well before booking.

Very spacious, great location downtown
Some nose from surrounding area, but ear plugs were provided

Convenient location that’s close to everything, including breakfast spots and stores. We also really liked the appliances and available utensils for use.
Lack of sound proofing in the suite. We could hear music from outside even when using the earbuds provided, and hear other patrons conversing and using their hair dryers.
The online check in process was a bit confusing, particularly the auto charge of $300. It’d be great if an email with terms and reminders were sent out immediately after the check in process. I can’t remember the details to that process but I’m hoping to be reimbursed soon.

Excellent location in downtown Halifax! Easy to walk to restaurants, attractions, harbour and the train station. The apartment was excellent - roomy, clean, well appointed. The staff-free check in was easy and the suite had everything described in the information. The kitchen was well-equipped and large. I would definitely recommend the Cameo Hotel and Suites and would definitely stay there again!
Nothing!

Really cute apartment in the heart of the city! The place is pretty new and very cozy!
Because it’s located in the center ( probably on the busiest street of Halifax ) - to stop and unload the car ( which included two very small children) was quite difficult and frustrating.
The property offers instant coffee instead of a regular one - it’s very disappointing and tastes terrible!

the location was perfect to access everything downtown.
The beds were extremely comfortable and space was fine for 4 people.
We were on the 3rd floor with 3 bedrooms. The far bedroom is located right beside the patio bar-same level etc. the music and vibrations come through the so-called barrier wall that was put up did nothing. This music continued everynight till 0200hr. Unless it rains, which was 2 nights. I would not rent this suite out to anyone as the windows face the barrier wall and the music is way too loud to even open them.

Modern, spacious and excellent location. Access to streaming apps ( Netflix etc). Full kitchen and free access to a washer/dryer.
Our room (304) window faced a dark and tall brick wall so it was particularly dark and you had to have all lights on all the time. Even with the lights on, it was difficult to prepare food .

Nice property. Clean and fresh. Little loud music bar below window. Great location as its in center of entertainment.

Right next to harbour front, the citadel and entertainment district so very close to fun things to do!
Was right next to a busy club where alot of college students partied late into the night. Music blasted well past 2 am to the point it was almost impossible to fall asleep

Very comfortable with a lot of room
The living room area was too small, even for 2 people. No regular tv channel (ie !news channel). No coffee pot. No comfortable chairs to sit in the living room area.

Clean, modern, funky, downtown close to waterfront.
Had a little difficulty checking in online but owners were responsive even though it wasn’t during their business hours. That was truly appreciated.

No cafe despite the website indicating there was one - felt misled although we might not have used it anyway. Check out at 11 and check in not allowed till 4 is extreme. Most places allow 4 hours for cleaning not 5 and are happy to make room available if ready.

The apartment was spacious for us and had all the amenities we needed. The apartment is well located in downtown Halifax and we were easily able to walk to the water front, and to the Citadel.
The apartment lacks much natural light, as there is just one window in the corner. At the time there was scaffolding as well, which made it worse. The owner gave us a future discount to compensate, but it's unlikely we'll be returning to Halifax in the near future.

The property is walkable to some tourist attractions. And the transportations are quick and easy since its right by the hotel. All the property amenities are perfect and efficient. Highly recommend Cameo. And would love to stay again in Cameo in the future.
Everything is perfect inside and outside.

The room was very clean and new. All the appliance were in excellent shape, and there was a fully functioning kitchen with dishes, utensils, pots and pans. The bed was comfortable. The location is excellent. I would rate this higher, except for the items set out below. Although this is a self check in, the staff is very responsive and helpful. Don't be deceived by the outside of the building, it's an old building being renovated; the actual rooms are newly renovated.
If you are in one of the units facing the back of the building, you need to bring earplugs, since you are facing a row of bars. With a good set of earplugs I heard nothing. If it cool enough to close the windows the noise is tolerable. There is no air conditioner. For most of the stay this was not a problem, but the first two nights were too hot.
