You'll think you've died and gone to heaven! This luxury river home known as 'FireFly Retreat' is located on the Buck Shoals gorgeous wide section of the Chattahoochee River near Helen. This 7 bedroom house is anything but ordinary, and is perfect for family reunions, gathering with friends, and work retreats. The house is brand new construction and was professionally decorated by an interior designer. The house sleeps 19 people in beds. Relax and sleep to the sounds of the rushing river rapids just behind the house and enjoy the panoramic open views of the river while soaking in the hot tub. 3 Complimentary Kayaks are included so you can enjoy some river adventure! This unique section of the river directly behind the house is your own private water amusement park: enjoy swimming, sunning and relaxing on the sandbar in the middle of the river, tubing / kayaking / rafting from behind the house, playing on the natural rock waterslides, and exploring the rock shoals of the river. The fishing is good behind the house for shoal bass, striped bass, catfish, and bream. The kids will love exploring & playing on the property, like we used to do when we were kids (no phones or video games needed). Your stress will melt away as you catnap on the riverside porches on each level of the house, overlooking the river. The main level back porch has a custom farm table that seats 18 people. Every bedroom has a Flat Screen HD TV's with Smart TV Roku built-in so you can log into your Netflix account and enjoy movies and wine by the living room stacked stone fireplace. Any gourmet chef would be delighted by the beautiful kitchen, gas grill outdoor kitchen on the deck, and charcoal grill down by the river. The picnic table next to the river makes the perfect place for a Sunday afternoon cookout. Your kids will never forget the family nights spent around the riverside fire pit with Adirondack chairs telling ghost stories, catching fireflies, and roasting marshmallows. Drink a cherry Coke on the front porch and you'll feel like you're back in Mayberry. Nature lovers should keep an eye out for the wild deer and Canadian geese in the backyard while sipping your morning coffee. This property is very private and secluded on 3 acres of wooded property, and the opposite side of the river is part of a state park for extra privacy. The interior of the house is beautifully & professionally decorated. Whatever your age or interests, there is something for everyone at this extraordinary river home retreat. Guests consistently remark that they have never seen a more breathtaking river view property as this one!!! This is the ultimate river home vacation experience!!! The setup of beds and bedrooms for this 7 bedroom, 3 level house is as follows: The Terrace Level (basement) sleeps 7 people and has a bedroom with king bed and private bath, another bedroom with a king bed and shared bath, and a third bedroom with full size bed, and a single bed over it and a shared bath. The main level (first floor) sleeps 6 people and has the master bedroom with king bed and large private bath, another bedroom with king bed and shared bath, and a bunk bed room with 2 twin beds and shared bath. The upstairs (second floor) bedroom sleeps 6 people and has 2 queen beds, and a pull out queen sofa bed and utilizes a shared bathroom on the first floor. So the entire house sleeps 19 people in beds. Our family of 14 had a great time and we had enough space for all of us. We loved the fire pit outside that we used nightly. The teenage boys loved the creek and did some fly fishing with there waders. My parents and another sister booked the house next to us so we had a great time with all our family. Kids loved the pool table and they even played some flag football outside. One of our favorite parts was the sounds of the creek, very peaceful, if it wasn't so cold I would have stayed on the back porch for hours. House was well stocked in the kitchen. We enjoyed our time away and being with Family. Thank you.

Firefly retreat is beautiful. The spacious rooms made all 14 of my family feel comfortable. We loved sitting at the fire pit outside laughing and talking while listening to the peaceful river flowing over the rocks .House is as listed just so many perks to mention here. Will definitely return. Host is easy to communicate with and helpful!

Great place on the Chattahoochee. The home was perfect for our group. The driveway is very steep but other than that the house was a great find. Super clean, large, stocked with everything you can ask for. We would rent again..

The cabin was so beautiful and fit the needs of our annual family getaway so perfectly! You couldn’t ask for better scenery. Owner was very responsive and communicative during the entire booking and stay.

We went with a large group.. 3 families 6 adults and 9 kids ranging from 18 mths to 17 yrs old.. it was a total blast .. from waking up in the morning to deer in the yard.. to sitting on balcony drinking coffee and just absorbing the veiw and hearing the river roar.. then we realized we forgotten some items walmart was 15 minutes away.. but definitely amazing will be returning for sure Rob was amazing to communicate with via the vrbo and txt after we arrived..

Perfect location and size for our family….everyone had their own space and the table outside was big enough for all of us to sit around and eat together. An added bonus was the kayaks, tubes, and water shoes for all to use. Would definitely recommend.

This was our annual family gathering. We went hiking, tubing, played in the hot tub, played in the river, visited Helen, played games, had pool and corn hole tournaments, worked puzzles and thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful, well equipped house on the Chattahoochee. It was our first time to this area with the entire family. The host was very cooperative and quick to respond to our questions. We highly recommend this property.

The house is so beautiful. Located right on the water. Sitting on the porches listening to the rushing water was so serene. We hated leaving. We will definitely be back next year for our family vacay. The communication with the owner was excellent. He answered all my crazy questions promptly.

The home is placed on a serene piece of property, tucked in, surrounded by trees and framed by the river. After walking out onto the back deck, the sound of the river which is always present, is very calming. On that deck is an amazing view of the river that runs right by the home. The table can easily hold 18 people. We ate all our meals outside, even when is rained. The property is excellently maintained. There is a great firepit surrounded in a circle with Adirondack chairs. Its a great place to sit around at the end of the day to laugh and enjoy all the company of family and friends. All the rooms are beautiful, well furnished with comfortable beds , pillows and so well decorated. We also were able to have pool tournaments in the basement while the kids watched TV. Just outside is a really large sectional with a hot tub so that everyone can be together and hang out all at the same time watching the river run by. There is a notebook filled with all the information about the area, things to do and places to see. This home is perfect in every way and was such a treat for our family especially after some difficult years, it was just what was needed. The owner always answered all my questions and provided everything needed. Perfect is the best way to describe this vacation home!

This was a very accommodating property. It was perfect for our 14 member family. The access to the river was amazing. We brought large float devices so we could float anytime we wanted. The large tables made it possible for all of us to eat at the same time. The view was absolutely amazing. Very comfortable beds. Love the fire pit with all the andorondeck chairs.

We loved our family reunion on the Chattahoochee river. This home offered an amazing experience with it's amenities and location. We tubed down the river, sat around the fire to rebuild our connections. Rob was a great host.
