About this house rental

If you need a peaceful vacation, look no further. The Little River Farmhouse is a family friendly, fully renovated rustic modern home on 3 acres of land located near the heart of Townsend. It resides among a small muscadine vineyard and blueberry patch along The Little River. A very large yard is available for running around, playing catch, and other outdoor games. We even provided a disc golf basket for the entire family to enjoy. Secluded yet convenient, the home is surrounded by nature and within a short drive, bike ride or walking distance of Townsends’ conveniences. This home has a large-covered porch with a 7-person luxury hot tub/spa and plenty of seating, 2 large fire pits (next to house and down at the river) and access to a private shore along The Little River. River access makes it perfect for tubing, fishing for brown trout or just lounging in the water. There is a comfortable remote working space within the home and access to high-speed internet.

In the winter months, you might find yourself sitting on the porch enjoying a peaceful view of the Mountains and the Little River. In the Spring, you will be admiring the 100 year old maples and other trees blooming. In the summer, you will spend your evenings staring at the mesmerizing synchronous fireflies. You might not be prepared for the beauty of the fall season as the foliage drifts to the ground. Throughout the year, you will likely find yourself awwing at the bunnies foraging in the morning hours and soaking in the luxurious hot tub and spa in the evening. If you enjoy bird watching, you likely will spend hours just sitting on the front porch or staring out the large living room picture window.

You’ll be minutes away from the entrance to The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a quick drive to Cades Cove, and access to the scenic foothills parkway with some amazing view points. You are a relaxing 30 min drive to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg where you can enjoy lots of day and nighttime activities to include Dollywood and Anakeesta. Go for a hike, bike ride, car ride or just enjoy the beautiful home on the River. Whatever you chose, you will have a vacation you never forget at The Little River Farmhouse.

For your safety there are 3 security cameras on property: #1 is on the corner of house facing down the driveway. #2 is on the carport looking back towards driveway. #3 is on back of carport looking up towards barn. Lovely weekend! The boys loved the river and the girls loved the hot tub. Evenings were great for grilling and bon fire with s’mores. The accommodations were amazing and very, very clean. Everything we needed was there for us. Hostess was so nice! Even text us when the house was clean and invited us to enter earlier than check in time!

Jjst book it! It was so comfortable and well appointed. They thought of everything, down to the kitchen supplies, hot tub, bathroom amenities, comfortable beds and sheets, yard games, board games, etc. This place is a gem and we will definitely be back.

The Farm House and the land is beautiful.I loved how clean the home was and had all the amenities you would need.Also,the had WiFi.The WiFi was great.So peaceful and relaxing.Their is a trail that goes down to the river.There is a fire place there as well.We had a fire by the river and made s’mores.You can look Little River Farm House up on FB and see our s’mores pictures.I did not take pictures of the land or home and I wish I had.Soo beautiful.The host is charming and very helpful.Vrbo was great as well.I encourage everyone to stay here.We will be back!Also,go eat at the Danceing Bear.So good and it is in Townsend.

We have been vacationing in the Smokies for 38 years and always stayed in cabins just north of Gatlinburg. This was the first time we stayed in Townsend, and was by far the best property and experience we've ever had. We stayed 2 weeks at the Little River Farmhouse and will always return. Our host Jennifer was extremely friendly, caring, and attentive. The property was wonderfully equipped, comfortable, clean, and quiet. Very close to food, services and the national park. Thanks so much.

Had a great time. House is set up quite well for entertaining, plenty of chairs, space, and accommodations for groups. The firepit and grill were really nice touches, and the Hot tub accommodated a large group really comfortably. Will stay here again.

We loved our stay, it was so relaxing and just what my family needed. The land for the kids to run was something we didn’t realize we needed on a vacation. My kids had a blast! Will most certainly keep this on our favorites to return!

We had the absolute best time staying at the little river farmhouse! The pictures do not do the house justice! This was the cleanest house we have ever stayed at in all the years of coming to the Smokies. This was our first time staying in Townsend and let me just say, this will be where we stay from now on. It is so peaceful and the locals are so friendly. It’s a short, beautiful drive to Gatlinburg and pigeon Forge, and Townsend is within minutes of the National Park. The little river farmhouse was so welcoming and had everything we could think of. My three children, 7,5, & 2 throughly enjoyed playing in the spacious yard. The newly added swing-set was a plus! There was a smorgasbord of games inside to play on those rainy days, when we couldn’t go out. My oldest son and husband enjoyed fishing in the river, and myself and other two children had fun watching them while we explored the well-made pathway from the river to the house. We roasted marshmallows around the fire pit and we all enjoyed the spacious hot tub..all in all I give the little river farmhouse 5 stars. There isn’t one thing I could complain out. We are looking forward to our next stay!

We loved staying in the peaceful side of the smokies! Close to Cades Cove and National Park without all the congestion of Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. House has everything you need and more the fire pits and hot tub were our favorite place to hang out and relax after a of exploring. You won’t regret booking this house.

We visit Gatlinburg/Smokies around 4 times a year, this place is by far the best place we have stayed. the place was clean, fully stocked as described online, the pictures does this place no justice. Very peaceful property. hot tub was amazing, comfortable bed, Awesome shower!! I could go on and on. We will be making this place our go to!!

If you are looking for a serene place to enjoy the Smokies, this property is for you. From the wonderful fire pit by the house, to the delightful swing/chairs right on the river, you don’t even have leave the property to enjoy the ambiance of the Smokies. This home also offers quick and easy access to the National Park. The property is clean, very comfortable and beautifully decorated inside. We loved staying here!!! 5+ stars!!

The Little River, Farmhouse had everything you could imagine and need. Very spacious, well, equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and a deck to die for. I recommend taking the trail down to the little river and just sitting and enjoying the quiet. We will definitely put this on our favorites list.

Excellence in every category, it is somewhat secluded. There’s a path that leads down to a private area right on the river, it included a swing, seats, & a firepit. It was pure splendor & one of our favorite parts of our stay there. The home itself, had everything you could ask for to ensure a pleasant, exceptionally accommodating time. Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys tranquility, away from the hustle & bustle of everyday life. Also, there’s a nice restaurant a couple miles from there Trailhead Steak & Trout, we highly recommend, the atmosphere was very pleasant, & the food is outstanding, very reasonably priced.

This place was set up perfectly , from the coffee to the river . It was way more than we expected. The back porch and hot tub was awesome , especially when raining. A short stroll down to the river with seating and relaxing in the water. Our personal best stay in Tenn. in 30 years.

Our first stay was short, but guaranteed the next will be longer. Super clean and soooo comfortable. Owner responded when there was an issue. From the welcome gifts and notes to the games, hot tub and the River fire pit; the Little Farmhouse became a Little Home.

My family of 7 and I stayed from Fri-Sun and had the best time! I have 5 kiddos, ranging from 13-3 and each of them commented on how wonderful the little farmhouse was. We hung out by the river and relaxed in the hot tub. This was our first trip to Townsend, but it certainly won't be our last. Thank you Little Farmhouse for a wonderful weekend!

Our trip to the Little River Farmhouse was amazing! The house is gorgeous and in an awesome location just outside of all the excitement. I will definitely be recommending anyone I know traveling to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge to check this place out, because I will definitely be staying again on my next visit!

From start to finish this was a perfect weekend. Check in was a breeze, the house is spacious and decorated so beautifully. I want to just move in. Beds are all comfy and plenty of blankets and towels. Even the sleeper sofa was comfy. My kids are asking to come back asap. The hot tub is the best I’ve ever been in and is immaculately clean. The whole house is super clean and properly stocked. The area is so quiet and safe. The River access is so fun. Staying here in the summer would be the best! Don’t miss out on this house.
