This property is advertised for up to 21 people. However, the living space is woefully inadequate for a large group. You are crammed into a single space which includes the kitchen, dining area and a sofa. There were 18 of us and the room was barely big enough for us and 4 of our party were children. The dining table could not seat all of us and the kitchen area was cramped. The only sofa had enough seating for about approx 8 people and the exit to the garden is blocked by dustbins.
The property had not been cleaned properly. There was still rubbish in one of the bins in the kitchen. There were hairs on every single bed, stains on some of the bedding, one of the showers had watermarks, someone’s clothes in the downstairs cupboard and numerous cobwebs in the living/dining area. We had no control over the heating and hot water during our stay as the owner has the thermostat and decides when it can be turned on. We ran out of hot water and had to ask for it to be turned back on. Totally unacceptable when we were paying £1000 a night. The heating would come on overnight, making the bedrooms too hot and we were unable to turn off the radiators because they had an attachment which prevented the dials from being turned. We stayed in December and would have like to be able to decide for ourselves when heating was needed. The positives are that the bedrooms and and bathrooms are more than adequate for a large number. This property was not worth what we paid.
