We were told that this was handicapped accessible. And we're very excited about the walk-in tub. When we got there there are two stairs to get into the building and no ramp for our wheelchair. The hallways were so tight that a walker or wheelchair barely could go through the hallways. We contacted the property manager and he told us he would refund our money. We have not heard back from him yet. I am still waiting to hear from vbro also about a refund because the house was not what we read with the listing. We are a group home traveling with physically and mentally disabled adults. We are hoping for resolution soon.

I kept calling to find out what our code was and couldn't get a reply. I had no contact. I had to call VRBO. They finally contacted them. The grass on the property was at least a foot and a half tall. We got the code and entered the house. The glass is broke out at the top if the storm door. The guttering was leaking over the front door. The air conditioning kept kicking off. The electricity in both bathrooms kept shutting off. You had to keep hitting the reset button to keep it on. The bedrooms was nice upstairs, but the bedroom downstairs was pretty bad. It was pushed up against a basement window that was full of spiders and webs. I had to pull the bed out 2' feet to keep it away. The downstairs bathroom was definitely a basement bathroom. The lighting was so dim that you had to take a flashlight with you to see. I could go on, but I will stop there. This house needs to be off the rental circuit until it gets some maintance done. I say all this so someone won't get burnt like us.

Pros: Beds were comfortable with bedside tables and access to outlets, carpeting looked new. Great location to local attractions and restaurants. Felt like a safe neighborhood. Driveway fits two cars, with street parking available for more. Owner very responsive to questions.
Cons: Needs better attention to cleaning (windowsills were very dirty throughout, air exchange vents were either super dirty or rusted); Could use a table and/or luggage racks in bedrooms. Upstairs bathroom had a walk-in tub that was very awkward to use for showering. Electrical needs attention - lights in bath/kitchen went out several times and needed outlet to be reset. Area rug in living room is a trip hazard.

Things were a little dusty, but it was off season for our stay. The other issue is the kitchen wasn't stocked with a lot of useful items (like large serving spoons). However, the owner was helpful and accommodating. We would use this venue again for our group.

#1 we got in after dark and our first hello was a cut off stump right next to front steps. An accident waiting to happen. Not marked or covered. BAD!,
The stove burners looked to have never been cleaned were dirty and rusty completely covered The refrigerator no ice or water hooked up and inside drawers again filthy never wiped out, sticky substance, yuk.
The whole unit was in need of cleaning, looked like cement spilled on kitchen floor and hard as cement. Kitchen cabinet drawers no linings bare wood. Who knows when they were last wiped out. SAD SAD.
Bedding almost non existant. Thin and looked to be from the Goodwill or a thrift store. For sure not up to pare for tourist rental. And to think they charge a cleaning fee. Here to tell you someone is getting ripped off here.

The stay was great. Will definitely 💯 stay there on our next trip to Springfield, Illinois. They responded within minutes of an email. Everything was great. The money was well spent. I had just had a TKR 7 weeks ago and the walk-in tub was right on time. The basement is another living space for separate entertainment, and it’s a full bathroom, bedroom and living room furniture.
