My room got upgraded for free (without asking) and when I left and asked how much a taxi is to the station they immediately offered to drive me there for free. Best stay during my 4 weeks in Japan!

the view from the room onto the river. the staff was very friendly and helpful. you can have free coffee and tea with cookies in the lobby.
the bathroom was way to small for people from European countries. it was only 1,5 by 1,5 I suppose and cramped in a small bath with shower, toilet and a small place to wash your hands.
we choose a “western style” room which ment we got a real matras but placed on the ground. For me this is a bit of a hassle standing up from the bed (as is maybe for other not so young people).
the area was very quiet, most cafes and restaurants were closed when we went around in the evening, and it is quite far from the train station, although close to the river (with a view).

I had the best sleep on my 3 week trip to Japan where hard beds are the norm. These beds had a bit more spring and the room provided a quiet, dark space to spread out. The staff was friendly and kind, even gave me a ride to the bus station. I also enjoyed the free homemade cookies and the massage chair. Breakfast was included and different from the usual fare. I would stay here again for longer.
Nothing.

A new twist on a traditional style. Super welcoming and friendly staff.

location.
we paid over 50000 yen for a very old, dark room. we paid an extra for the terrace with a bath tub. it was not worth it.

I chose the upper level room but there is no bath room in the room while lower rate room has bath room inside. Please read the information carefully before selecting the room.

Beautiful lobby, free coffee 24/7, nice themed halls
No charging ports close to bed. Curtain let in light. Was had to sleep past 4:30 am as the lights seeped in. Curtain did not cover the whole window. No net curtain during the day!! Meaning that can’t open curtains during the day as one is as exposed as fish in a bowl

The staff was awesome. It was a very relaxing place to stay, the onsen was great and the river view is very peaceful.
Maybe some up keeping is required. Some area looks like has just been renewed but alot of the area need some refreshing.

the room was a little tired, but the staffs were really helpful. we enjoyed our stay.
