Everything was great!!

Really lovely people, food good in the pub. Rood was clean. Location close to Rye but not easy walking distance.
Room was cramped and bed linen wasn't cotton, which is something I would expect when away. Duvet was heavy and it was hot. I took my dogs and thought there would be walks directly from the site but there wasn't and road was busy. No where for dogs to be able to roam around without getting on to road. In the pub we ate at 8pm and ordered deserts at 9 but some not available due to ovens being off... (!)

We were cycling around Kent and it's always a worry where to store bikes overnight, Ed made sure our bikes were safe. Three pub and restaurant onsite were really good. Superb breakfast and evening meal.

The accommodation was spotlessly clean and we really liked the little extras of milk and toiletries that were in the room. The room sizes were perfect and we was all very comfortable.
The breakfast exceeded our expectations and was delicious!
All the team were really helpful and nothing was too much. We had a great evening meal and couldn’t have asked for anymore.
Overall great value for money and would book again. Thank you to all of the team 😊
There wasn’t any downsides.

I didn't know what to expect - was it old-fashioned, basic? I was very happy to see how light it was and the furnishings were modern with plenty of storage space. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The room even had a fridge (quiet)-with a jug of milk inside. There is a table and chairs to sit out on outside and also a parking space. There is a pub across the car park and it is on a busy road but any noise there was did not impact on our sleep. As a light sleeper, I would have noticed if it was noisy. The manager was very friendly and helpful and was keen to make sure the visit was a happy one. He was good-natured when I mentioned that the bathroom mirror was too high for a little'un like me, wanting to make improvements where he could. The location was lovely, just at the edge of the village. We went to Battle the next day which is not far away.

Breakfast was very good.
The restaurant isn’t open on a Sunday evening and although we stayed two nights it wasn’t possible on the first evening (Sunday) to get a bottle of wine to take to the room although a waitress was present…

What a wonderful surprise, a motel with 5* hotel service. Spotlessly clean and everything you need. Ed, the proprietor is a winner, I could not rate his service more highly. Breakfast included is a 3 course meal - cereals, croissants and then a full English breakfast - all served with gleeful smiles. This is a motel, but it's pretty and spotless with space to breathe. The motel is alongside the main road through the area, but nights are silent and we slept fabulously. The best thing is the kind and meticulous service. GO ED!!!!
I booked a motel and got fabulous service - nothing to dislike.

Clean, convenient and comfortable. it was our first stay in a room with our dog so being dog friendly was really important.
Due to the heat we changed our breakfast plans so we could walk early as we were completing the 1066 walk. Ed the host couldn’t have been more helpful. He supplied us with a great breakfast to have in our room.

Great place to stay, suited us perfectly. Ed couldn't have been more helpful. The staff at the pub were very cheerful and welcoming the food was great. We couldn't fault it and will hopefully return in the future. Highly recommended
Couldn't find fault with anything.

Very nice room, nice big shower
The boiler was a bit noisy, but that’s the only complaint!

Room was clean and comfortable.
I wanted a few days for some quiet personal reflection but not be too isolated, so this was great for that.
Having the small fridge was useful.
Ed was friendly but not intrusive.
Staff in the pub were friendly too and I felt comfortable eating there alone

The owner was helpful when there were any minor queries. The interior of the chalet was clean and newly decorated in subtle colours. It had a new shower en-suite and the shower worked well. The bed was very comfortable. Table with two chairs, a small fridge and tv. Since it was February I used the heating , which was efficient and easy to adjust. Semi-rural setting, near Rye. There is a pub just across the garden, which serves meals, and has music on some nights.
The main light in the room wasn't bright enough for me. It may be bright enough for other people. I don't think anything could be done about it, as the modern light fitting was close to the ceiling.

Great stay rooms basic but clean and comfortable staff excellent
Would have liked a mirror in the room and not just the bathroom for drying hair
