About this cabin rental
We are so happy to host you at this mountainside retreat. We have poured our hearts into creating this relaxing getaway.
Only a few miles from downtown Talkeetna & just a 1/4 mile from the Talkeetna Lakes trail system. You will find miles of running, biking, and skiing trails. Nestled on over an acre, you have a ton of privacy to get away and relax.
Built in 2023, this cozy 700 sq ft cabin has top-of-the-line amenities like heated tile floors, a heated towel rack, bidet, back-lit mirror, an in-unit washer & dryer, a fully stocked kitchen, solid wood doors, and custom lighting. This home is a year-round retreat with a spacious arctic entryway to hang up your skis and gear after hitting the trails.
Outside you will find over 500 sq ft of south-facing deck to soak up the afternoon sunshine! Our custom home has a 6-foot overhang allowing you covered seating outside so you can get fresh air and stay dry no matter the weather. BBQ, Firepit, and yard games are all on-site.
Brand new sauna built fall of 2024 allows for you to relax after a day of exploring. The sauna seats 6 and is located right off the back deck of the main cabin.
Minimal light pollution in the area makes our cabin an awesome spot for fall/winter star gazing and northern lights viewing under the right conditions.
There is plenty of space for your group to park and bring up ATV's, boats, or snow machines if you plan to recreate in the area. The third "bedroom" is a second smaller dry cabin on the property we call the bunkhouse. The bunkhouse has a much more rustic feel with a bunk bed, futon, wood stove, and small fridge.
**The main cabin comfortably sleeps up to 5 adults and the bunk house sleeps up to 4 - Max capacity for the entire property is 9 people. 9 adults is pretty cozy, and keep in mind there is only 1 bathroom.**
Please note this property is located in a residential neighborhood and parties are not allowed. Quiet hours are 10:00 pm to 8:00 am.
ATTENTION WINTER GUESTS - The bunk house's main heat source is a wood stove. There is a back up electrical space heater as well. If you are not comfortable operating a wood stove this may not be the best option for your stay.

Very clean and comfortable. Communication with owner was great. My 18 y/o son loved getting away from everyone by staying in the cute bunkhouse. Beautiful property and surroundings.

My only wish was that we had stayed longer!
This property was so relaxing. It was easy to get to, easy to get into, easy to stay here. Lots of lovely natural light inside, the bunkhouse is really cute, fire pit for making s’mores. Close to downtown Talkeetna. I’m so glad we found this property, and working with Liz was a breeze. Hope to travel to Alaska again!

Modern and cozy cottage super close to the main drag of Talkeetna. Very well stocked with modern accommodations. There was a separate bunkhouse on the property that would be great for the adventurous of your party. Unfortunately it rained for our entire stay so we couldn’t take advantage of the fire pit or the nearby lake access. The town of Talkeetna has lots of places to eat. Groceries can be bought within a 10 minute drive. Overall an excellent place to stay minutes from food and entertainment. Communication with the host was quick. Check in and out was seamless. Would highly recommended.

We loved this cabin in the woods! It was super clean, fully equipped, and welcoming. We peeked in the bunkhouse, but there were only 3 of us and we fit in the main cabin.
The cabin had high-quality, high-end features we were not expecting!
The location was super-convenient to Talkeetna, and 3 amazing Denali viewing spots!
The host is top notch, and helped us find lodging in the area when the Riley Fire caused our lodge in Denali to cancel.
Would definitely stay here again!!

The property was as described but further from the train station and downtown than anticipated. I had reached out to the property manager about getting in early but did not receive a response.

Liz’s cabin was a perfect stay while in Talkeetna. Listing is exactly as advertised. This is a perfect location if you’re wanting peace and quiet, but still convenient to the town of Talkeetna for dining options. We loved the fire pit! Would definitely stay again!

Liz's place had it all - great location to the bike trail/town, space for 2 families with kids, super comfortable amenities, indoor games and puzzles and outside firepit. Great communication with Liz, too. We'd definitely stay again!

This has by far been my family's favorite adventure in Alaska. We've been visiting cabins and campsites all over. From Homer, to Seward and Valdez and up to Fairbanks over the last three years.
From the great hosts, the great location, and the great experiences, this Talkeetna cabin has it all. Luke and Liz are great hosts
They are good communicators and made us feel welcome from booking until check out. They were quick to respond to any questions and continually reached out to make sure we had everything we needed for our adventure.
The cabin boasts awesome upscale amenities, is close to tons of activities, downtown and restaurants. We had an absolute blast hiking, sledding, tubing and eating our way through Talkeetna.
My kids really enjoyed the loft area, and after wearing themselves out playing all day they passed out no problem on the comfy bed and over sized fluffy bean bag chair. Our favorite memories included roasting marshmallows over the fire pit as the snow was falling and watching the kids play in the woods from the comfort of the open deck. My daughter, and wife, were also especially excited about the heated floors throughout.
All in all a fantastic experience. We'll definitely be back.

This place was even better than expected! We happened to visit on probably the coldest weekend of the year, but we were cozy inside with the in-floor heat. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked, including a hair dryer, laundry detergent, fresh local coffee, condiments and spices. The WiFi was good enough for both of us to be working and streaming Spotify all at once. The location was great, in a quiet neighborhood near the main trail system, but only a few minutes from “downtown” and a bit further out to the brewery. We would definitely like to stay there again, maybe with friends and family to take advantage of the loft and the guesthouse.

The property is new and well maintained in a beautiful location. Between the spacious arctic entry and wide wrap around deck the cabin was built with an attention to detail uncommon in Talkeetna.
The spacious cabin interior with large windows provided a cozy nook that we almost didn't want to leave. We did bring our skate skis and found the extremely close proximity to XY Lakes made motivating for a daily skiing delightfully easy.
If you're looking to escape Anchorage or are visiting Talkeetna you couldn't pick a better spot, and my wife and I will most definitely be seeking this refuge again.
A major thank to the host and cleaning staff that made this stay well worth the drive.

This cabin was so cute and cozy! It has all the kitchenware needed to make a delicious meal after our fun skiing adventure. The ski trails are super close which made it easy to go out more than once each day. The water was nice and hot in the shower and the heated towel rack was a nice luxury to have. Communication with the host was super easy and she was very responsive. We plan on staying here again.

We were blown away by our stay at the Tri River Retreat! The location for us was perfect - we could venture downtown within a few minutes and within a mile the X Y trails have some of the best skiing, hiking, biking and ice skating in the area. All the activites we could ask for, and when we wanted to relax there was plenty of room with our family plus another: solo stove out back plus deck hangout, bunkhouse for the rambunctious kids or as adult reprieve. Clever interior decorations, modern amenities were a plus that let us relax and everything was quite comfortable, especially the radiant heat floors. We'll be coming back in the near future!

This was the perfect retreat for us to get away from the city and visit Talkeetna! The cabin is 5 mins from town yet tucked away to where it feels private and secluded. It’s also very close to lakes and trails for summer and winter activities. The cabin has so many upgrades and is very comfortable. We brought our baby with us and we were able to set up the Pack n Play for him in the bedroom to sleep near us. We enjoyed the quiet by cooking on the grill and having a fire outside at night. We had additional members of our party stay in the bunkhouse, which is just steps away from the main cabin. Can’t recommend this place enough for your stay in Talkeetna! We will be booking again in the future!

Wonderful cabin. Very peaceful and quiet:)

This house and bunkhouse were great! The location is hard to beat across from the Talkeetna Lakes park and just a short drive into the town. It’s also close to Denali brewing company, the bakery, AND the birch syrup place! The house has two places for sleeping, a super cute bunkhouse with wood stove and bunks as well as the brand new and very well appointed main house. The house is new with great finishes and some covered deck for a great outside sitting situation. The host was communicative and let us use the fire pit. The only reason that it didn’t get 5 stars is that there was a minor plumbing issue during our stay that made things a little unpleasant at times. I would definitely stay here again with a group up to 4, but sharing a single bathroom with more than 4 might be a little tough. Definitely an awesome place in Talkeetna!

This house was amazing! Perfect for experiencing Alaska. Liz was a great communicator and very accommodating. Appreciated how she checked on us from time to time to make sure we were good. The house was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. Thank you again! If we make it back up to Alaska again we would definitely come back. 🙂

Everything was super clean and brand new.
There were bikes and kayaks on site for us to rent from the hosts which was a huge bonus for us.
Super relaxing and private.
Close access the trails and Talkeetna bike path.
Will definitely be coming back, thank you Liz!

In Talkeetna for just the weekend, drove up from Anchorage to visit family. Property was new and clean, tiny dry cabin was perfect for the young men. Easy drive to town, good stay overall

Our family really enjoyed our stay here. We loved being just off the bike path and a short ride down the hill to town. The kitchen was well stocked, the furniture was all super comfortable and we loved the decor. When the sun finally came out, the deck was heavenly. We had dinner on the grill, built a fire and the kids ran around exploring the property. If we'd seen a little more sun, we would have taken the kayaks over to the lake, but it wasn't meant to be this trip.
Already talking about booking a weekend this winter to come back for some skiing.

This was the cleanest “cabin” I’ve ever stayed in. The location was superb. Close enough to downtown Talkeetna (5 min bike ride) but still a ton of privacy. It had all the amenities we could’ve asked for and the host was super helpful!
