This cabin has amazing views of amphitheater and the Wyoming mountains, an awesome view of the soda butte creek and its wildlife (moose, bison, and birds) that runs right through the backyard, and is in the perfect location to the NE entrance of Yellowstone. Great home base to hit Yellowstone attractions (Lamar valley, Roosevelt area, Canyon village area, Yellowstone Lake area). Our family of 8 stayed for 5 nights and created unforgettable memories. Huge sunroom to gather the whole family for meals and games, fully stocked kitchen. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and organized with linens and privacy for all guests. The yard is huge with its own creek entrance and fire pit area, a place to picnic, and a sauna and soaker tub. A walk away from cafe, ice cream, and local shops. Caretakers on site were attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. At night you can see all the stars right from the yard.

My family of six stayed at this VRBO for 5 nights while visiting Yellowstone, our family's goals were hiking, fishing, and relaxing. Based on the pictures we thought this location would be perfect... the pictures do not do this place justice! From the moment you walk in the cabin and see the mountains through the 4 seasons room you want to stay forever!
With the Lamar Valley minutes away there was good fishing and hiking. We took a day to go to the west side of Yellowstone as well.
Comfortable beds, a good assortment of kitchen accessories, nice towels and blankets, everything was clean and comfortable.
The layout of the cabin is perfect for families. My son preferred sleeping in the four seasons room where he could wake up with the sunrise and watch for wildlife across the river. In the evenings we grilled outside, enjoyed the sound of the river running by, relaxed in the sauna, played pool and cards at the large table. The weather dipped below freezing a few nights so we made a fire inside the cabin with the materials provided and loved the ambiance.
The hosts were very informative and helpful if you need anything.
Silvergate is lovely, walk over to the Log Cabin Cafe for breakfast or the Royal Wullf Tavern for a snack after hiking. Both places had great food.
My only suggestion, make sure to take a photo or print the check-in directions before you lose cell service, we got lucky and found the cabin and hosts on our own so this was not a concern.
We will go back!!

If you are looking for remote...this is the place! What an amazing property. We went to bed listening to running water of the creek right in the backyard, and woke up looking at the beautiful mountains in the distance. A very short to drive to the NE Entrance of Yellowstone and the picturesque Lamar Valley.
The property is everything I pictured and more. Isiah, the manager, was very helpful and informative. I could go on and on about how great this place is, but you need to see for yourself just how beautiful it really is. We hope to back someday.

I cannot say enough nice things about this rental. The owner, Kip, and the on-site caretakers, Hunter and Isaiah, were so friendly and helpful in answering any questions we had. The cabin was clean and welcoming and looks just like the pictures. When we weren't off hiking and exploring, we spent our time in the beautiful sunroom and on the deck overlooking the creek. It's so private back there it almost felt like we were the only ones around. There is even a huge bison who likes to hang around the area. We met him on a walk along the road (and got out of his way) and then later he wandered onto the property to take a nap. The cabin has easy access to the park and the towns of Silver Gate and Cooke City are cute with a couple of restaurants and shops between them. I don't have one bad thing to say about this rental and I will recommend it to everyone I know. If you book a stay here, you won't regret it. I will absolutely come back to this location again.

Incredible stay with many memories and life experiences to take with us..
The cabin was charming and super clean!
Host were just a call away to help with any questions you might have regarding guided hikes, Yellowstone tours, and excellent places to eat in Cooke City.
We definitely recommend going horseback riding through Yellowstone and driving Beartooth Highway.
I promise you won’t want to leave!

We stayed here for 5 nights and found this the perfect getaway to check out Yellowstone. Park is only 1 mile away and beat Lamar baker where the big animals hang out.
The house itself had everything we need- including a beautiful enclosed as well as open air porch overlooking the river and mountains, a beautiful master bedroom with a view of the mountains and a fire pit near the creek. We also loved the sauna which you can pair with a dip in the cold river. Highly recommend!

Our family LOVED the Cooke City / Silver Gate location. The owner, John, could not have been more helpful. His recommendations were spot on… trails, fishing spots, restaurants, atv rental, grocery store… he is a wealth of information and is happy to share. We had an AMAZING vacation and would highly recommend staying here!!!

There would hardly be a place that one can find in yellow stone that's better than this. John has added everything that you can think of to this amazing stay- pool table, hot tub, fire pit, outdoor seating, an amazing sun room and multiple outdoor seating areas. There was nothing that I felt was missing here and then you have amazing mountain views while sitting on the creek side. Animals come and go, a bunch of mooses, a weasel and many birds visited us. This is very close to Lamar valley so you get to see a plenty of wild with just 20 mins drive. On the top of all this it has high speed internet. We loved the place so much we increased our stay. John is very helpful and is just a message away.

We loved our stay at this cabin in Silver Gate. The highlights were being creekside, having wildlife literally on our doorstep and the beautiful mountains around us. The cabin was really cosy even when we had a significant snow fall. John did everything he could to make sure we had a great stay. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals; the beds were comfy and the billiard table an open fire a bonus.

Rented this place for a trip to yellowstone. Could not have expected the comfort and beauty of this place. John (the owner) was a pleasure to meet. We spent 2 days of our vacation at the cabin because it was so peaceful. Would return to this place every time. 5+ stars
