NEIGHBORHOOD:
Bouldin Creek is one of the trendiest neighborhoods in Austin. It is located in the heart of South Austin between South Congress and Lamar. Bouldin Creek is centrally located around Zilker Park, Barton Springs, Downtown Austin, and South Congress. The neighborhood is very safe and walkable with world class shopping and dining minutes away. There is a top-notch convenience store called 1st Food Mart with craft beers and all essentials 2 blocks away. There are also several very popular restaurants across the street including Elizabeth St. Cafe, a local fixture for casual Vietnamese fare. My personal favorite BBQ join, Terry Black's, is a casual 0.7 mile walk from the house. I advise going at off hours if you want to avoid lines.
GETTING AROUND:
Driveway parking for one car. Ample street parking. Electric scooters are prevalent in the neighborhood. Ride shares are always available. Just a short 10 minute walk from South Congress restaurants and shopping. 1 mile to Lady Bird Lake running trail and dog park. 1.5 miles to Zilker Park and Barton Springs. 15 minute Uber ride from the airport.

This was a beautiful place with an amazing location! The pool was gorgeous and the backyard was just amazing! There are two bedrooms and a chill game room in the garage! The cookware is awesome and the beds are sooooo comfortable! Neighbors were great and within walking distance to many cool places! We will be staying here again!!!

Beautiful home in a great location!

Sadly, the listing photos are much nicer than the home today.
Almost all the back yard furniture is gone, and what is left is ratty and old. On our arrival the pool had grass clumps, leaves, bugs, and worms with no scoop net. Dog poop, cigarette butts, and dead leaf piles were throughout the back patio.
Inside furniture is old, worn, and stained, though the beds were comfortable.
The kitchen was disappointing. The freezer was filthy with melted and re-frozen water, with mixed-in red food substance in a drawer, and an open bag of ice (the ice maker doesn’t work). Frig drawers are broken and don’t work. The large stove burner handle is gone and not usable.
On 2 nights a live band was playing two houses down. It didn’t bother us, but you could definitely hear and feel the bass vibrations.
We found 2” long dead and live cockroaches in the kitchen, TV room, and upstairs mobile air conditioner. We don’t have these in the PNW, so this was disturbing.
The listing photos are either quite old or there is little attention to keeping up the home. Communication with Drew and John was cordial and timely. John offered to mow the lawn and apologized for the yard condition. We informed him of the cockroaches after the initial dying one appeared in the kitchen, and he said that is a condition of living in the south. The pool was nice and we used it daily. In spite of good reviews the home seemed poorly kept up, rustic, and of questionable cleanliness, especially at this price point.

The pool was perfect. Excellent location. Would 100% stay here again.

The Owner/Host was very helpful and gracious. The backyard with pool was perfect for relaxing or swimming laps. Original back door and bathroom door and updated barn door are tricky, but function - be patient and enjoy the charm

The house is great, but the backyard is spectacular. The pool is shaded most of the day by large trees so you can enjoy the cool water on a hot day without overdoing it under the sun.
The place is also conveniently located, mere minutes from downtown. But in a quiet and quaint neighborhood.

Always A nice and comfortable place to stay

We had a great stay! I rate my stays based on location, cleanliness, and good for pets. It was 5 stars for all. The pool is great. The neighborhood is awesome and close to everything. The owner communication was good. He even let us know that we could check in early because the house was ready. We would absolutely stay again.

This is the place to stay in Austin.
The house is located in a quiet neighbor that was literally within 20 minutes of everything we had planned to do in Austin (even better it was within 5 minutes to Magnolia’s for breakfast and Terry Blacks’s for the best barbecue).
If you want to stay active on your trip then the pool is nice for laps and the neighborhood is perfect for ruining or it is about 1 mile to the river for a perfect running trail.
The listing is spot on with what you will get with the property. The house has a nice lay out with separation between the two bedrooms for some privacy. The host’s communication could not have been better.

The property exceeded our expectations from the moment we stepped in. It has unique character with its decor and amenities.
The beautiful backyard with pool is certainly the highlight. Location cannot be any better with walkable distance to restaurants and south Congress
Will certainly come back next time

We rented this house for a friends getaway. The location is perfect, walking distance to a lot of great restaurants and a cool brewery. We loved the setup of the house, with the bedrooms each having their own bathroom and on opposite sides of the house from each other. Beds and pillows were really comfortable! The pictures don't do it justice - it's a unique and beautiful home, especially out back. I would stay here again!

We stayed at this house for a week and worked remotely there part of the time. The master bedroom was incredibly comfortable and we had great internet speeds for working and a great workspace area in the dining room. We also brought our two dogs. There was a really nice backyard for them. I would 100% stay here again. Property owner also had plenty of toilet paper, garbage bags, toiletries, etc. If you have a small dog, the front gate is high enough a dog could escape. We put a rock in front of it while we were there. The pool guy also keeps a bucket behind the shed that my dogs found. We flipped that over to keep them out. Otherwise, no complaints at all. We very much enjoyed our stay and how convenient it was to the city.

We loved our stay here. The house was perfect for our needs. It has everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We loved the backyard and wish we had room for our cornhole set in the car because that would have been even better. Our dog likes to try and escape fences and had no luck here. We felt she was very secure when we let her out. The location was great and it was nice to have a parking spot in the driveway. There was also available street parking. We hope to stay there again in the future.
