Place beautifully decorated. Cool music playing in courtyard hang out area. Room super comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful.

Amazing! Between the staff and room, I will now only book here.

Great stay clean and nice!

What a great job they did with this hotel! My best friend and I took a trip for her 40th and stayed in the “pirate” room/suite. The sitting area was PERFECT, super cozy and great for us to just chit chat, eat and relax. The gas fire pits outside that are on until 11 are an added bonus especially this time of year! The beds were amazing! The bathroom was spotless and nicely decorated!

We were pleasantly surprised with how lovely and clean the room was. The bed was extremely comfortable, I genuinely had a good night sleep which is rare in hotels. It had everything we needed and the only negative was that we didn't have more time to enjoy it. Thank you!

Great hotel and staff. Super close to downtown Salem. We walked to the hotel from Essex St. during the haunting happenings, took less than 16 minutes. Very comfortable bed and living room.

The staff and the rooms are absolutely amazing

Bad location. No where near where anything. Definitely not in walking distance to anything. They have to have a 72 hour cancellation in place because you want to cancel your reservation when you get to this $350 plus a night motel. Not happy at all and also no staff on duty after 7 and no manager on duty at all. They refuse to fix any problem. Ac in room did not work. Terrible stay and no refund or partical refund. This property is also under construction and we were not told. Water spits out brown and believe it or not there’s more. Stay somewhere else.

We stayed in The Rain Forest Room. It was amazing!! Very fitting for Salem. The price was very good for what we got. The lady at the front desk was very helpful. I was looking at the wrong code to get in the door. She walked back with my husband to show us.
Would definitely recommend and will be returning!

We absolutely loved our room. It was very cozy and the layout was nicely thought out. Its not just another hotel room! We would love to come back and stay!

I would stay here again, however, I do wish the staff was a little more knowledgeable about the hotel but very nice, very clean, and very enjoyable.

Wonderful hotel and staff

The property itself is great. The neighborhood area is not desirable; abandoned storefronts and very run down buildings. A distance before to get to any area that is enjoyable to walk through.

Cute ideas but not at all thoughtful when it comes to simple things like hangers or explanation of on site amenities. Carpet, doors and and walls were grungy looking.
4.0
The idea is cute and fun for kids, but the room was not clean. There was a spill on the floor that was cleaned with a white towel, which became very dirty. The bathroom was nice, but the shower curtain had a mildew smell. The only amenities provided were shampoo, conditioner, and body wash; there was no soap for handwashing. Additionally, the throw pillows and couch had dried white stains. I requested a refund to book another hotel, but they do not allow refunds and provided no compensation for these inconveniences.

I absolutely loved The Cove at Salem! It is one of the more interesting and funkiest places I have stayed. A number of the rooms have certain themes. Mine was the medieval dungeon room, with knight's armour and skeletons. It goes with the witchy vibe of Salem.
In addition, the staff were excellent and very friendly. They organized video nights in the courtyard, where they also set up a bar.
I highly recommend The Cove at Salem!

Unique Property. Fully remodeled. Great outdoor space. Beds were uncomfortable and room configuration just ok. Bedrooms tight, missing night stands on both sides of beds. Very average stay.

We had a wonderful time at The Cove and we will be back. Rooms were clean and spacious! Check-in and checkout was super easy. Extra fun things like a club room for the kids, nice patio area with chairs, fire pits, games, and grills. They had a movie night and a beer and wine night. Attentive front desk who found my son's phone in the clubhouse and held onto it for us until we realized it was lost. A really nice facility close to downtown Salem!

The room decor was beautiful. My daughters and I loved the egg chairs and trying to relax. Unfortunately during our stay a few people were fighting and slamming doors. A man and his wife were screaming at each other and making threats so I had to get my girls and go inside. We weren’t able to really utilize the grounds and they are still doing construction to the new building which was very noisy for a Sunday. Other than that the room was beautiful and the beds were so comfortable.

I want to give this property a better rating. But everything is overshadowed by the fact that there aren’t blackout curtains in the window. The lights outside were bright enough in the window that even in the dead of night it was bright enough in the room to read a book We stayed in one of the theme rooms and it was so creative and cool. The property was relaxing and inviting. But to not be able to sleep bc of how bright the room was at night was very disappointing.
