About this house rental
Wern Manor occupies a tranquil and private setting and was built in the ´Jacobethan´ Arts & Craft style of the late Victorian era. Still exuding historic grandeur, but now combined with carefully selected modern day comforts and furnishings.
Upon entering this historic retreat, you are greeted by a grand panelled hallway, transporting you to a bygone era and leading through to the sitting room and games room. The sitting room welcome you with views of Moel y Gest (a 860 ft hill with spectacular views from the summit) from the leaded, mullion windows, and Chesterfield sofas around a wood burning stove invite you to relax on cooler evenings, followed perhaps by a game of snooker or chess. Further entertainment can be enjoyed in the games room, the perfect location for everyone to enjoy a film together on the vintage cinema seats or a spot of table tennis or pool. The well-equipped kitchen is housed in the former scullery and contains all you could need for making preparing those special celebratory meals, to be enjoyed next door in the original kitchen, now a unique dining room with another wood burning stove and authentic, exposed buff and glazed brickwork.
There is a second sitting room within the former Servants Hall, with comfy sofas that can be converted into single sofa beds to sleep up to four children, and a selection of toys and games to entertain younger guests, along with endless hours of hide and seek throughout this period masterpiece. Within the old Servants wing, also on the ground floor, can be found five beautifully furnished bedrooms, each with their own en-suite shower room. Decadence and grandeur are prominent throughout this incredible manor house, with eclectic touches of present day living and historic wonder. Central to the old Servants wing is the atrium. This stunning, inner-glazed courtyard offers yet another place to relax surrounded by peace and tranquillity.
Outside there is parking for up to twenty cars, either on the forecourt or the dedicated car park in the former kitchen garden, and a spectacular lawned garden with breath-taking views and scattered benches for quiet contemplation. The courtyard at the rear contains more garden furniture and a gas barbecue.
There are endless things to do in the area, see just a few of our suggestions below in Surrounding Local Area.
