“Grand” Hotel Continental

From the moment we arrived at the Hotel Continental, we were greeted with exceptional service. As soon as we passed through the front gates, we were welcomed with refreshing drinks, delectable sweets, and plenty of warm smiles - just what we needed after our long journey. The gentleman at the front desk, Fessi, checked us in with a delightful sense of humor and kindness, and provided great recommendations for visiting the local sites. Our room was spacious, luxurious, and peaceful, overlooking the hotel's expansive and bright blue pool, surrounded by swaying palm trees. The dining experience was truly special - whether in the main hall or poolside, the food was absolutely fantastic. A huge shoutout to Bessi, the server with the great customer service and winning smile (he looks just like Cristiano Ronaldo!), as well as the woman with the beautiful eyes who made us the most perfect omelets to order. Seriously, this hotel is the absolute best. We recommend this hotel - from the top-notch service to the beautiful accommodations and delicious cuisine, the Hotel Continental is a true gem in Kairouan.

There is absolutely nothing negative to say about this hotel - it is truly a lovely, exceptional place from start to finish. We have no complaints whatsoever.

Alles in allem ist in Ordnung

Die Lage perfekt ,Personal sehr hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich,das Frühstück ist sehr gut und vielfältig

Die Badewanne und das Waschbecken waren verstopft ich habe mich beschwert nachher ist beseitigt .nächsten Tag haben sie vergessen einen neuen Handtuch zu bringen und anderen Tag haben sie überhaupt keine Handtücher und seife da im Zimmer gelassen ich habe mich beschwert sofort bekam ich alles und sie haben sich entschuldigt und der Preis war bisschen hoch

Hôtel spacieux, moderne et confortable. Personnel irréprochable. La piscine est grandiose même si je n'ai pus en profiter à cause de la saison. Bonne situation, juste à côté de l'office de tourisme et à 10-15mn à pied du plein centre, de la grande mosquée, et de la médina. Chambre très spacieuse. Restaurant correct (buffet).

Le seul petit reproche que j'aurai à faire c'est le peu de prise électrique dans la chambre.

Perfect place to stay in Kairouan

The staff here is super friendly. The Medina is only a short walk away and the room/hotel offers everything you need.

The place is rather old and you can see it here and there (some things are a little run down). We didn’t mind though, since everything else is good.

Estancia agradable

El personal es muy atento y agradable. Las instalaciones estan bien cuidadas. No pudimos disfrutar de la piscina ni la terraza lo que nos hubiera gustao por falta de tiempo pero tenian buena pinta.

No es que no gustara, pero el desayuno era un poco pobre y con poca variedad. La localizacion no es mala, pero queda algo alejada de las principales atracciones

Great Choice for Kairouan

This is a lovely hotel and we enjoyed a very comfortable stay. We found the staff very kind and helpful. We did not use the pool but it is lovely and very clean. The rooms are spacious and clean. We had a car so we drove to the old town and found parking very easy. We ate our meals at the hotel and really enjoyed them.

The lady staff there was so thoughtful asking the gardener to spray water on my car due to rain and the leftover sand. She was so thoughtful!

Halte à Kairouan.

Très bel hôtel, très bon accueil avec citronnade et gâteau locaux, l'hôtesse est très sympathique.La piscine est superbe !Le buffet petit déjeuner est très bon.Les chambres sont spacieuses.

Le buffet du dîner n'est pas top,aucun plat locaux, c'est un buffet de cantine et cher 45dinnar par personne,on peut manger pour 5dinnar dans la ville La ville de Kairouan n'est pas agréable à visiter et à très peu d'intérêt.

Bellissima struttura con piscina. Staff gentile e colazione di ottimo livello. Ci siamo trovati benissimo inoltre il centro della città è raggiungibile anche a piedi oppure in taxi per i più pigri. Assolutamente consigliato anche per soggiorni più lunghi.

Le tende della stanza sono troppo sottili e la luce filtra fin dalle 7 di mattina.

Location is convenient and close to Medina and bus station.

Dirty bed sheets that have not been changed after the previous guest checked out, bed was full of hair from whoever stayed the night before. Was very disgusting. The hotel could have provided complimentary water and tissues which is the bare minimum... There was a lot of noise coming from outside, there was a wedding and it was difficult to sleep. AC was equally noisy. Not a pleasant experience at all. Would not stay there again.

Big, clean rooms. Attentive staff. Pool clean and well maintaned. Good breakfast. Reasonable price. For eiropean standards this is not a three star hotel, but a four star hotel. We were very pleased with our stay there. Kee up the good work.

Clean, affordable Kairouan hotel within walking distance to the main sites.

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, within walking distance to main Kairouan attractions.

Some of the rooms are a little out-dated/old fashioned (why yes, that *is* the same TV your grandmother had!) but they are clean and very comfortable. Some have nice patios overlooking the pool as well.

ALL IN ALL, FROM THE PHOTOS I SAW ON LINE, EVERYTHING WAS AS IT WAS ADVERTISED.

VERY FRIENDLY GREETING AND HELPFUL. PARKING WAS GREAT AND IT WAS VERY EASY TO FIND YOUR WAY AROUND THE HOTEL. IT WAS VERY SECURE AND AMENTITIES WERE GREAT. THE BREAKFAST HAD A WIDE VARIETY TO OFFER WITH PLENTY OF OPTIONS. WHAT THE HOTEL LACKED IN ROOM AMMENTITIES, THE STAFF MADE UP FOR IN MY ESTIMATION. FOR THIS PART OF THE WORLD IT IS A 3.5 STAR HOTEL.

COMING FROM AMERICA, WE ARE USED TO NON-SMOKING ROOMS. SMOKING WAS A PROBLEM IN THE BAR, IT WAS A PROBLEM IN THE ROOM FROM PRIOR INHABITANTS, AND IT WAS A PROBLEM IN THE RESTAURANT. THE AIR CONDITIONING WAS NOT VERY COOL IN THE RESTAURANT DURRING THE MORNING BUFFETT. THE BEDS IN MY ROOM WERE 2 SINGLES AND I MEAN SINGLE...VERY THIN. THE AIRCONDITIONING WAS SLOW TO COOL THE ROOM OFF BUT I DO LIKE IT COLD.

the staff were super nice to us. Breakfast had plenty of options, not only tunisian, which was appreciated. Cleanliness was algo good.

Music in the pool/bar was too loud and bad, mainly french rap, you could even hear it from inside the room. annoying

Spacious property near everything, great value.

Great big airy room with comfortable bed & bedding. Nice buffet breakfast. Accommodating staff. Nice pool. Restaurant with wine. Central location, easy for walking.

No elevator (lift).

Okay hotel, but should have been closed for renovations.

Room was modern and fine, nothing outstanding but fine. Safe compound to park in, and helpful reception staff.

Unhelpful waiters (wouldn't tell us where the dining room was - the direction he was heading, but sent us back to ask reception) disappointing restraurant. Worst of all was the major renovations, and constant drills, hammering, and power tools, etc.

Good value for money

Basic hotel with good location and nice pool. I recommend it if you are looking for a cheap alternative to expensive villas within the Medina.

The breakfast was okay but not great quality foods. Rooms could be cleaner.
