We had a really lovely stay at the Log House. The communication was excellent leading up to our stay. It’s self check in which we prefer, the instructions were perfect and easy to follow. The room was spacious, super clean, great bath, great quality of bedding, cosy & warm. There are parking spaces at the front of the property for 2 cars, but there is a paid car park directly opposite. It’s set back from the main road so you aren’t disturbed by road noise. We will definitely be back.
We liked everything

Breakfast not included, but Hayes Garden Centre a short walk away. Tea & Coffee provided. The decorations in the room were excellent. Parking over the road. Lovely Italian restaurant just a short walk on the road.
Breakfast would have made it perfect.

Location was great. Easy walk into Ambleside
Expensive parking. Also we we in a room in one the 2nd floor which had low ceilings which was a bit of an issue for the taller members of the group

Lovely modern room with big king sized bed at the top of the house. Small hotel. We passed other guests but didn't hear a sound from them in the room. Room was hot but they had provided a fan and nice big roof window. Location was really handy with parking just across the road, Windermere Pier just down the hill (10 mins) and Ambleside just up the hill (less than 10 mins I'd say.

Lovely fit out, excellent location and extremely clean
The water water leaked out of the shower door on the floor. A small repair required, but we didn’t let it affect our stay.

We stayed here about 9 years ago and noticed it has had a makeover. It has been refurbished to a lovely standard. We like the location and its quirky vibe. We had a great weekend there.
There is nothing we didn’t like. It’s just as described.

We liked how easy it was to check in and out. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom with the big tub and waterfall shower was a beautiful touch.
There’s wasn’t any parking available for free at the location. You could pay for parking across the street which was a convenient location but just upsetting there wasn’t free parking. Not a deal breaker but is the only thing I could think of that I didn’t like.

Quirky building, great location, clean and well appointed rooms. The bathrooms were superb

The room was very comfortable and obviously newly done
It was quite noisy - my door rattled everytime someone can in the main door, I could hear the traffic and the people in the room next door
The lack of parking was also a bit of a faff when bringing my bags in

Great location, walking distance to centre of Ambleside. and the lake. Lovely room, really nice decoration/furnishings. Clean new shower room. Comfy bed and nice pillows! Great communication about how to get into the property and the key collection from the key box was really easy. Definitely recommend staying here.
It's worth knowing - Parking across the road is payable, there is street parking but between 10-6, it's disk parking for a short period of time (an hour I think) but you can park there outside these times. There's actually a laybay before you get to the property (coming from Windermere) where you can park for free, unrestricted.
