Great little hotel right in the centre of town. Wish we had stayed longer.

Great location. I had a ground floor room (room 2, I believe), in which the wifi was not strong. There also were some large bugs running around the floor. The housekeeper helped me get them out. Pleasant terrace and restaurant (though I would have appreciated having coffee available earlier than 8:00 am). Nice pool.

The only disadvantage to our room that it was right on our he street, and I did not sleep well as a result.

We had a large room and the shower was good and a big plus a refrigerator in the room. Walking distance to the convento and the pyramide.

This was our second stay here. We were here 2 years ago, also. This place is a reasonably nice hotel that is conveniently located. There were some initial issues with our room, but they rectified them in short order and all was well after that. This is a small and quiet hotel. They have a nice pool and a small restaurant. This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Izamal.

The hotel is across the street from the convent, not part of it. Some of the pictures make it seem like you are staying in the convent. Our room was comfortable and clean, but small. There were narrowing stairs going to the room, and stairs in the room to go into the bathroom. The bathroom door is very, very short - had to almost bend over to get in. Our door did not lock securely, simply had to turn the knob to the left and bump the door to push it open when locked. The staff said that was the best they could do, but at least they had cameras. Our room was next to the street, so a bit too noisy - I would trade the view for some quiet. The restaurant on-site was amazing. All of the people in the hotel were very kind and welcoming. Bed was comfortable. I would happily return, but opt for an interior room. Enjoy Izamal, it is beautiful and amazing!

Beautiful comfortable property in a great location. We relaxed in the pool in the evening and if you walk up the stairs in the back there is a gorgeous view of the convent lit up beautifully.

This is a quirky and unique property! There are a lot of stairs, so keep that in mind if mobility may be an issue (it wasn't for us). I didn't find the bed comfortable at all, though you may if you like a very firm mattress. Breakfast isn't included, but there is a small restaurant on site with tasty options. The staff was friendly and easy to communicate with, even though we don't speak Spanish. The rooftop was a nice place to relax after a day of walking & had a great view! They don't have a bar, but there is a liquor store a couple of blocks away. The round house ruins next door were interesting, though I didn't get a chance to ask for a history. Overall, we had a nice stay.

The hotel doesn't have its own parking, but you can park just across the road and it's free.

Safe, clean, quiet, lots of pride in their city. I am a 60 year old woman traveling solo through Mexico, and I felt very safe everywhere I went. Hotel staff provided lots of personal attention.

We had a lovely stay at Rinconada del Convento. The location is perfect for walking around Izamal. The view from the back of the hotel overlooking the convent is gorgeous. The best thing about our room was the shower... great pressure and plenty of hot water. The downside was the steps within the room... a very small step down which is easily forgotten when entering the room and several large steps up to the bathroom. Also the steps leading up to the room are very narrow. But the view and the shower made up for that. We paid a little extra to upgrade to a room with a view and to have a fridge. Our friends who stayed had a standard room and the window was internal and no fridge, but they still loved their shower!

Given pandemic circumstances the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. A well kept pool area and courteous restaurant and check in staff but as with many hotels in Mexico hot showers are hit and miss. Izamal’s centro plaza area is a few hundred feet away and the pyramide kak moo is within a half hours walk.

Great location but the hot water wasn't working, there were mosquitos at the room and it was so noisy because we were near the front desk. There were workers yelling at the door.

Elegant with character. We had two rooms both spacious. One in the front and one in the back. Nice green space in the back and views. If you stay here you need to see the veiws at night and in the mornings. This hotel is in a great location to enjoy the local life syyle in the mornings and evenings. They had bike rentals, but becareful because one of our tires went flat and another the tire came off the rim. It slowed us down and we ended up walking back to the hotel ending our bike ride. They refused to refund any money. My recommendations is for the hotel to upgrade tbeir bike selection and post restaurant hours along with their ATV eco tour information with their availability.

Perfect location. I suggest a room near the back as the front can get a bit noisy. A good and very reasonable breakfast can be purchased.
