It's amazing stay with the room in newly hip design. Alex did great to help us meet our need to get the room best for us.

Our stay was average. They didn't wash the floors which made our feet black, which resulted in everyone having to wear shoes while in the room. The tvs were great and we could tell that the rooms had been upgraded with nice wooden entertainment units. We booked Queen size beds, which honestly felt much smaller than our queen mattress at home; and the frame was thin metal like a cot or futon, so slight movements from my partner and I during sleep at night were often super super noisy. Huge plus though was that there were zero bugs or bedbugs. Staff were nice. Our stay wasn't bad, but next time I would probably spend the extra money to upgrade to another hotel. Lots of homeless people and drug activity in the area, however, that can be seen just about anywhere all over the world. However, I never felt unsafe. It was a good hotel for a family on a budget, especially in this economy and with the price of inflation.

There was a really really really strong smell of mildew in the first room.
Staff was kind enough to switch to different room, but that room also smelled like mildew / mold, just not as strong.
It was really hard to sleep in rooms that smell like mold/mildew. Maybe check the AC units and clean the filters. Also, check for mold problems.
Also, there was a lot of trash left around the property / bags, bottles, glass, cigarette butts (likely by other guests, sorry the other guests were not very respectful of your property. Not your fault, but would be great if it was cleaned up.)
Lastly, there was no coffee or even hot water available. I had developed a cough in the room due to the smell, but in the morning, there was not hot water or coffee available. Disappointing.

The overall motel was good. Our room seemed to have a mildew smell that was not great and would not go away. However we did not say anything to the staff and just dealt with it so maybe that could have been different if we'd said something.

Enjoyed the upgraded rooms. It was clean and comfortable well decorated. Just wish there was an elevator for those that needed support in loading/unloading to the second floor. Otherwise great stay.

It looks quite normal on the outside. But the rooms are quite updated on the inside and the bed is quite comfortable.

The staff was friendly, but the service for getting towels, toilet paper, or cleaning of the room was almost nonexistent. We had to request new towels all but 1 of our 8 days. We had to get toilet paper from the front desk a few times, the beds were like bricks and VERY uncomfortable. The toilet didn't flush properly and because "maintenance was gone for the day" the front desk just gave me a plunger and wished me luck. The door sometimes stuck trying to get out of the room, there are a lot of homeless people in the araa but they didn't really bother us, there's no pool and no microwaves in the rooms, but they do have a microwave in the laundry room that they don't tell you about for some reason...you just find out by accident. Likely i will never stay here again...despite it being the cheapest option for 3 people for 8 days.

I liked the quietness of the property but the laundry room had no stock of items and there were some walls falling apart in the room along with unstable plumbing in the shower.

When it comes to booking hotels like others during this time I looked for something reasonable price wise and rely a lot of photos of the hotel taken to make my decision. If there is something I would recommend to others looking to book is to stay away. I’ve stayed in Santa Ana before but this place has to be the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. They tried to give me the wrong room with a queen bed when I booked a king they did fix that by giving me a room with two queens to make up for it but that didn’t make up for the varied random non residents in the area of the hotel and street. The room was dirty the table under the wall mounted tv has a huge yellow stain on it as well as bugs in the area. We were in the first floor but the resends on the second floor were the noisiest people I have ever dealt with. They were consistently moving things as well as stepping around the room as if they were having a track meet. All in all I would recommend others looking to book please pay the extra and book with a different chain of hotels because I will make this mistake again.
