I stayed for the second time at the Cotalero hostel and it was a pleasant and comfortable stay. I like it because it is centrally located and you can move to different parts of the city without any problem. It meets the amenities mentioned in its accommodations.

Regarding the Hostal Cotalero, I can say that I liked its location, since it is in one of the most central areas of Vedado. The person in charge of receiving you once you arrive is very attentive and helpful and is available for whatever is needed. I must say that the bed, the air conditioning, the way the room was organized, the bathroom and especially the shower were in perfect condition. I would definitely stay there again once I visit Havana on another occasion, since I felt that it was a modern, cozy and affordable place.

The hotel was lovely, very clean and very comfortable, I would stay here again. The internet was a bit of a hindrance ,I know Cuba isn't know for great internet, however there were simple websites I couldn't access such as the Viazul one to book bus tickets. Meaning I had to walk to the bus station to get a ticket instead. That's quite an essential site when you're here to travel. Literally the only thing that let me down was the fact the listing states they speak Spanish and English. Which is perfect cos sadly I don't speak Spanish. However this wasn't so useful. I was checked in and greeted by two staff, the one that showed me the room spoke to me in Spanish despite me saying I didn't know it, understandably she doesn't speak English. So I've no idea what she was saying about the room or anything. She was trying to get me to go in the bathroom and was very insistent but I don't know what she wanted me to do. As this was my first visit to Cuba I didn't know where anything was, the staff member I spoke to in the morning had a better grasp of English but not much better. Noone seemed to know Havana from a tourist perspective so couldn't answer any of my questions. I was trying to book a train to travel across the island and noone there knew how to do this or where to go. That was the case for all the enquiries I had as a tourist. Also I couldn't get my head around the conversion of money in Cuba and the staff member got quite impatient with me about that.
