View was amazing, although suggest adding a single door from room to allow to go out to the beautiful waters edge.
Room was very very hot. No way to cool it down. If there was an external access door, this would have also addressed the over heating.

Rooms are clean and well maintained but I found it noisy with noise from other rooms. You can hear people using the toilet and shower very clearly in other rooms, as well as TV noise from other rooms. There were no parking spaces when we arrived because the restaurant was very busy, and we couldn’t get a table. We walked about 15mins into town and had something to eat in another bar.

There is no hotel staff to speak of, and the restaurant staff was mixed. But it is a fantastic property right on a beautiful lake.

The entrance to the hotel is not evident since it is confused with the bar and restaurant next to it. The facility was very clean and the view over the water was beautiful. The heating was on too high but there was no one to talk to about this since this was a self check in accommodation. The restaurant served reasonably priced delicious food from a varied menu. It had a beautiful view of the water, service was excellent.

Views! This room was large, perfect for a family of four, and had an amazing view of the ocean which was literally right out the window. We could hear the ocean at night with the windows cracked. Bathroom was great too with HOT water and exceptional water pressure!

Stayed for a few days and enjoyed the scenery lovely double room facing the water, view was stunning, an easy 10 min stroll to Rathmullan, only 2 issues/gripes was no internal access to restaurant from hotel, no great when weather isn’t the best and no bed and breakfast option so need to pay between 10-14 euro if you want breakfast. No issues with auto check in and rooms made every day and staff very friendly and helpful.

Room was comfortable with everything we needed. Lovely view out to the water.
Room was a little hot and was hard to collect down, windows didn't open very wide, no air conditioning.
External lights remained on and curtains were not black out, so the late night light shining in the room was a little irritating.

Lovely newly renovated motel like standard because room size is a little tight but excellent views of the lake. Self check in and out went fine. Would definitely stay here again. The restaurant had a great dinner menu

As the property’s name suggests, it is in a beautiful location right on the shores of the lough. This is not a hotel, however, and shouldn’t be advertised as such. It is a restaurant with some adjoining accommodation to the rear of it. The accommodation has a completely separate entrance and has virtually nothing to do with the restaurant. There are none of the usual facilities associated with a hotel. No reception, no lobby, no breakfast available, and no proper bar etc. In fact, even the restaurant was closed most of the time we were there! It’s also a good 15 min walk to the nearby village along a narrow road with no pavement for part of the way. I know it’s February, but this was literally like staying in an abandoned building. It’s such a shame because it’s actually quite nice. The restaurant part of it is a lovely building with spectacular views over the lough. They could make so much more of it, though. The rooms were clean but a bit compact and bijou. On the upside, most of the rooms benefit from the views, too! Maybe it’s a lot better during the holiday season. 💁♂️
