A room in a beautiful building and with a magnificent ceiling. The receptionists were friendly. Bed spread a bit worn out and bathroom floor not very clean. Should have a big warning for arriving guests not to enter the area with car as it is under video survailance, only to be entered by residents.

Nice, clean room with updated features. The shower is small with just a curtain and the sink was draining slow. But a nice place of overnight, especially for the price. WARNING: there are limited hours when you can get in so make sure you check on when someone is there to provide access.

Pleasant hotel about fifteen minutes’ walk from the Piazza del Campo and convenient for the bus and railway stations. Wide choice of restaurants in nearby streets. Rooms set within a residential block a few doors from the reception, so limited contact with the hotel staff – but very friendly and efficient on check-in and check-out. The room itself was pleasant: simply furnished and clean. No breakfast.

I paid 416.82 dollars for three nights...so I was expecting something better than a Motel 6...but I was wrong. First of all, the office is just open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. I arrived after 3:30 p.m. and the office was closed!! After half an hour the owner showed up..!! The rooms are in a different building from the office and lacks an elevator. It is just an old appartment converted into rooms. The rooms are really, really basic. The beds are just made of a spring and a matress, no headboards. One nightstand on one side of a queen bed..nothing on the other side!! A tiny table with a tiny tv on it. The bathroom has a sink without any surface/furniture, so there is nowhere to put a make up bag or anything else. The shower is even worse: there is no shelf where to put the soap or shampoo, so everything has to be on the floor!! Besides, the shower is closed by a plastic curtain and it's almost impossible not to flood the floor! Breakfast is brought to your room from 9:00 a.m., not earlier than that!! Nothing is said about it on the website when the reservation is done! The owner told me that they are a B&B but again on the website this is defined as a hotel. Proof is that you can book the room with or whithout breakfast..so it is not a B&B. Anyways, I have never been somewhere that serves breakfast so late! For that amount of money, it was a shame! The only good thing is that the hotel is at a walking distance from downtown Siena.

Our 2 night stay was enjoyable. We arrived on an evening train and took a cab because we had bags and weren't sure of directions. The office is only open certain hours and check in and check out needs to be done within those times. I was very concerned about finding them closed if our cab hadn't found them quickly. It was 11 euros for the ride. Reception was friendly and efficient. The room is in a beautiful old building that has been allowed to retain its charm while adding modern comforts. It is several doors down from check in and it does require a set of keys but I just found that quirky not difficult. The entry is shabby/grand, a little amazing and a little mildew smell. Our room was a good sized room with a dome ceiling, one of the largest we've encountered in Italy in our price range. It is up a pretty long set of stairs. The view was over a fairly busy street and we could hear traffic but not to the point that it interrupted our sleep. The shower was small but had great water pressure and heated quickly. Be careful that the shower curtain doesn't cover the drain. We were asked each time we were in the office if they could do anything else for us and if everything was fine with the stay. Both of the employees we spoke with used English well. The location is perfect for a walking tour and just a few blocks from coffee shops restaurants and the bus station.
