About this house rental
"New Rebel Station" is a vacation home for the unconventional - a renovated barn with an eclectic interior that is both rustic, and chic, curated with an eye for the artist or nature lover, perfect for friend groups, family vacations and creative retreats.
While summer is one of the best times to visit, fall is breathtaking up here along the Delaware River.
The house can comfortably sleep up to 8 with two bedrooms on the ground floor, each with a double bed. Sturdy stairs lead to the loft areas where you'll find a bedroom with a queen-sized bed and an open "play" space that is great for a yoga stretch or a late night dance party (or sleeping bags if you have some spill-over). Two additional connected bedrooms (one queen, and one with a twin bed) and a small seating area, are located in a separate cottage a stone's throw from the main house. There is also a queen sized pull out couch in the living room. Note, there is just one bathroom, in the main house, but it is spacious and has a great shower.
The house has a fully stocked kitchen and a gas grill on the patio. There are two options for dining al-fresco - at the huge room table in the great central hallway (can easily sit 10) with screened barn doors on both sides open to the breezes, or out back on the deck. A vintage wicker seating area is a great place for cocktails.
The location is lovely, on a quiet country road, surrounded by meadows and towering pines. Set on five acres with a spectacular secluded spring-fed swimming pond, that comes with a canoe for paddling and inner tubes for floating. Nature abounds! If you are a birder, this is a great place to bring your binoculars. You might also see red fox, a great blue heron, or a Bald Eagle circling overhead. The property has many blueberry bushes so you can pick your own for cobbler or muffins in July and August.
The spring fed swimming pond is truly unique, reached through a path behind the house it is a breathtaking place, home to a healthy fish population and some small turtles, all of whom make plenty of room for swimming humans. It's a great place to cool off on a hot day (children should be supervised) or hang out in the Adirondack chairs with a book.
The "Station" has much to engage people of all ages, but caution should be taken with children in the loft areas of the barn, which has many levels, some of which are open and could be dangerous to youngsters.
We are a stones throw from the gorgeous Delaware River - a national recreation area that is one of the hidden gems of New York State - and well worth exploring. There is world-class fishing, kayaking and canoe rentals, epic tubing, and the charming river towns of Callicoon and Narrowsburg, filled with great galleries, cute shops, restaurants, bars, and a vintage movie theater.

Great location for nights at Bethel Woods. Quiet and comfortable. Well stocked kitchen. Amy is a great host.

I have so many positive things to say about my stay and I’d like to start with Amy, the host. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a warm, attentive, and communicative host in my 10+ years of using vacation rentals. She went above and beyond and left us a hand written welcome note, fresh produce from the farm across the road, and a fully fleshed out guide to use as a reference for the house and the surrounding area. Thank you Amy!
Now the house itself - even more beautiful and well decorated in person. The beds were comfy, there were fresh towels, and the house was plenty roomy for us to spend a mostly rainy weekend in. The forest and pond behind the house were perfect to explore and get some fresh air.
Overall, this was a fantastic getaway and I highly recommend you book this house!

We loved our stay here. The house was a really cool repurposed barn and the property was gorgeous. We loved swimming in the pond. Amy was such a generous and communicative host. There were fun activities in the surrounding area as well.
