Special experience but still not outside of comfort
Staff, food, surranding

Great experience in the camp, staff very friendly. They got us special vegetarian options to suit our group, food was good, very traditional.
They tried to accomodate the meal times to work for us, very hot rooms during the day. Great views day and night
Toilets are basic and they are shared, but they were clean and had soap and hot water. The rooms were very very hot during the day , perhaps a fan would have helped.

It was very nice and quiet in beautiful nature.
There were a lot of options like horse trekking on the website, unfortunately this wasn’t possible. I recommend asking beforehand.

The staff were very friendly and I told them in advance I had allergies and they ensured no food they served during our stay had any of the allergens which was fantastic! A lot of places don't seem to place importance on this, so this meant a lot.

We were so very warmy welcomed. I would like to thank Marcella separately! We had a great company staying at the camp, we were invited to join for the tea at the fireplace as soon we came. The food was great and I was especially thankful how wholesome the selection was. The camp is in the middle of these huge rock formations - which is an amazing pick. We have only best of memories staying with you. Everything was neat, clean and beautifully decorated. I highly recommend staying here!

This place is unique - amaizing location with extraordinary views! Tents are small, but comfortable, shared bathrooms are clean.Marcella is the most professional and kind manager, always smiling and giving all tips you need. Food is delicieus.Personnel is hospitable and kind, serving tea whenever it seems to be needed:) Thank you!
Beware the road- there is sand and stones, our car got stuck.
Area around bathrooms is littered and shabby( though the bathrooms are kept clean)

The staff were very very welcoming with Aïd treating us to have tea and a little chat with him as soon as we arrived.
Then we spent a very good evening with Marcella, the Manager, who spent a lot of Time with us.
The dinner was excellent.
During check-out, our car was blocked in the Sand. After trying for one hour to get out if the Sand, Aïd and Abdeslam, helped us to get out if the sand in no Time. I would like to thank them so much for their help.
Overall experience was excellent as the staff were so welcoming.
An improvement: please upgrade the breakfast. It was too basic!

The way we were made to feel welcome by the staff was amazing. It was just very real and we felt we were among friends instantly. The location and the food is simply remarkable.

Very beautiful setting. An elaborate and tasty food buffet and very warm, hospitable hosts! they went out of their way to make us feel at home
not much, everything was good! Can imagine the toilet block will get crowded if the place is full

The best place we stayed at while being in Jordan. The food was amazing, the hospitality of the whole team beyond anything we could have wished for. Such nice, polite and just wonderful people! The location is amazing too, being surrounded by beautiful rock formations and just around the corner of little Petra but still very quite and with an off grid feeling. Dear lovely people out there - please don't got there if you are looking for luxury and if you are not able to respect the Bedouin culture (f.ex. taking your shoes off before entering the tent!). If you do love nature, would love to really get to know the bedouin culture and if you are willing to do without luxury for a few days this will be the perfect place for you.

They were too KIND 😁

Amazing location, hidden in the mountains behind Little Petra. Really felt like being part of a community. loved being a bit further away from the tourist rush

Great little gem hidden away from Petra. The host Ede was fantastic and really made me feel welcome. They prepared a feast of traditional bedouin food which we are under the stars. It was a magical evening.

Dinner was fantastic! The host of camp told stories of Bedouin culture after dinner (while he was demonstrating how to make Bedouin coffee).
He also helped a few of us find the back entrance to Petra, which was a great way to enter Petra on my second day.

Most friendly staff ever.
We got welcomed on our arrival at 6:30pm by Hussein and his staff by sitting around their fire in the big tent and some lovely tea.
After some relaxing time we got immediately served a truly tasteful, healthy and incredible dinner.
Hussein joined us and we had the chance to ask questions and entertain ourselves with some really interesting conversations.
THEN, HUSSEIN MADE US BEDUIN COFFEE, he roasted on the fires green coffee beans and then grinded them. With the coffee came an explanation regarding how to serve and drink coffee and why it is done that way. A truly amazing human experience that no money can buy.
The sleeping tent was cosy and the blankets provided kept us warm in a very cold January night.
The following day, Hussain took us back to the camp (we walked from his camp to Petra) and greeted us with a gift.
If you are after a real experience and like conversation and knowledge about the land you are visiting, I would say a visit to Jordan is not complete if you don't sleep at this Camp.
Ps
The location is outstanding!
Nothing.

Very welcoming hosts who took time to chat with us and tell us more about the local culture. We had a great few night sleep and the breakfast and dinner food was great. they also arranged a hike from the camp to Petra (back entrance), which was an amazing way to enter Petra, off the crowds.

During our stay in the camp an intense sandstorm lead to an evacuation of the camp. The hosts were extremely friendly and harboured us in a private room in their house. They cooked a free dinner for us and did everything they could do for their guests in this special situation. The camp was extremely destroyed after this storm and we are crossing fingers for the guys, so that they can reopen it very soon.
The beduin experience in the camp is great- we liked best the tea at the fire and the food.

I was very disappointed by this camp, in particular after the camp in Wadi Rum in which we had a very pleasant stay. Here in Petra, when we arrived it was more or less "help yourself". No information, no really welcome neither when we arrived not for the dinner. "The boss", the two nights we staid, played at the professor with two groups whose staid at the camp, explaining how they are organised etc. but for the rest of the guests, nothing. In addition, apart one employee, who was very friendly, the rest of the men were very distant and absolutely not communicative. The rooms are very basics in comparison with other camps in Petra (Little Petra) or Wadi Rum. Just 2 beds, that’s it. Nothing to hang a bag, your clothes, a night table etc. I really expected much more from this camp, in particular taking into consideration that 100% of the guests are from western and as a result, the also might learn a little how you welcome people from abroad. Bad advertising / comments are not good for the tourism. This camp is good for 1) big group, which can make the stay pleasant, 2) young people. This camp doesn't suit for 1) couple (booring) 2) aged persons (distance within the camp).
Last but not least. Every morning they were very happy doing the counting of the money the earned in the last night. Like bankers.

The tent was very clean, the beds and the sheets as well.
The staff was very kind, they always offered us bedoiun tea. The dinner was fantastic (chicken, lamb, hommus, vegetables, fruits, salads, rice etc.)
We could buy mineral water in the camp (1JD/bottle).
