Attention: Ms. Nella Miramar
My name is Eleanor Yuen. I stayed with 4 family members in three of your rooms at the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald on 100 St.,Edmonton on May 22 and 23 this year. I and my relative had two sleepless nights in the room we stayed: on May 22, the drapes facing our beds couldn't be closed properly in spite of the night shift staff's efforts. On May 23, our room was out of power and the night shift manager was only able to leave us a few flash lights. I and my roommate tripped over a couple of times in the dark room. The night shift manager offered us a complimentary nite and a free breakfast as apologies for the inconvenience and the
dangerous situation we were put under. You confirmed the offer when we checked out on 24th. The promise was never acted upon , I never received any refund from you and Booking.com, and the communication with you on your website was impossible. We will share our experiences in the survey we were invited to fill out unless you respond promptly.

Beautiful place! Loved the water, the AC, the bed was comfy, valet, the antiques of it are beautiful. The coffee was good.
Lots of stains on chairs, curtains etc in the rooms. Kind of expensive, parking could be better.

it was so elegant and the staff was remarkable. it was old world excellence.

Lounge and staff were great. Spa was very comfortable.
Prosecco in room was flat. Contacted front desk but was still charged for it. Expected no charge or replacement.

I like the property because you can do other things while staying, like the famous afternoon and their Sunday brunch. This is use special in the Winter and you older family with you😊
4.1
The architecture, the view from the room. In summer the veranda would be the most impressive part of Hotel. Unfortunately it is winter and no access.
$50 parking fees!! On a $500. Per night room!
Bathroom very tiny & crammed.

Our room was clean, and the bed and bedding were excellent. Although we didn't have a river view, the view we did have was fine.
Communication as to how the parking lot worked would have been very helpful. We ended up paying more for parking than we should have because it wasn't clear when we were leaving the parkade as to how you pay for parking and we ended up having to download the parking app and paying before leaving our car for the night. Also, the parking app did not generate a pin # for reentry into the parkade and we had to get help from an attendant.

The service personable, professional and efficient.. The , decor of the newly renovated lounge is great! Freshened up with still maintaining its charm. . Our meals delicious. The smoke charcuterie board amazing
. The experience of the Hotel Mac is and always lovely. I will continue to dine, lunch and occasionally stay in years to come.
Our room was showing slight wear and tear, but hardly mentionable, ie; one nightstand table top finish is worn off and glass missing. I can't wait to be in one of the renovated rooms next time.
I had trouble with the pillows being uncomfortable however, I had absolutely no trouble with a previous stay. So it could just be me.

The location is perfect, and the history makes it special.
The $25 fee for wifi is ridiculous.

How the staff accommodated our family with children. They were exceptional.

Lack of hotel owned, indoor parking.
