Staffs needs to do better
There was a particular lady/woman that i believe to be passing aggression of her personal life to customers. I do not know how you would want to replace 150 USD for a bill of 148 CAD. This said 148 CAD was what she insisted she will charge for late check out at 1PM.

the property was easy to access. the lobby was spacious. the staff was extremely helpful and professional. the bed was fantastically comfortable. the rooms were clean. the hot breakfast was enjoyable, and was included.
i REALLY must commend the absolute superman who checked us in. he let us know a short but interesting factiod about the rich history of the elegant room we were checked into. because i could not access the bathroom in my wheelchair, he took the heavy oak door off of it's hinges. that could not have been easy! i saw him vacuuming the lobby that night and setting out the breakfast the next morning. i wouldn't be surprised if he was also throwing in the laundry!
as well he called long distance to tell us that we'd been double-charged, and then reimbursed us.
these hard-working managers who are invested in the history of their city, and who show such pride in the properties they maintain - are worth their weight in gold. many thumbs up!!
this is an older hotel, and thus some of the doors were difficult to go through with a wheelchair. there were also a series of steps to access the dining room. if one could not manage the stairs, then a short trip outside would be required to go around, then in.

The place was horrible. Caveat emptor...
The hotel was across the street from a methadone clinic and a soup kitchen. The lobby reeked of curry. The common areas were filthy. In the room, there were bloodstains on a pillow and the mattress protector. The floor needed vacuuming. The shower head was broken. Two lamps didn't work.

Breakfast was okay, typical conventional breakfast. Eggs, sausage
We arrived like 7 to 8 pm and we have to wait coz the room is not ready. That’s why we book early. Checking time starts at 3 pm and our room not ready? Finally we went to our designated room and the rooms smells like it did not wash the washroom well. The sheets had stain and my wife cannot. Sleep on that kind of sheet like it didn’t change. The floor was filthy, did not even vacuum. So disappointed. We called front desk and complaint about the stained sheet and the guy said it’s from the spray? So he brought us few sheets to put it over.

I booked my stay with Best Western from Sept 16th to check out Set 18th 2022. The total cost was meant to be $267.69. I checked in and was given the key to my room. When I entered the room, the first thing I always do is check the bed for any issues. When I checked there was a stain on the bed sheet as well as a small blood stain on the pillow case. I then checked one of the drawers and found a bug in the drawer. I am attaching the pictures of this.
I went back down to the front desk and spoke to Vina to advise her of the issue. She said she was booked up for the weekend but was able to find another room in the hotel for just that night. We went up to the room together. When we got to that room I pulled back the sheets again to find a bigger blood stain on the bed. Vina was more upset with me for undressing the bed to inspect. She told me it was okay and she would cancel my stay. I did not get to take a picture of this room.
When we got back to the front desk she told me the stay was cancelled and she would not be refunding my first night even though we both agreed I would not stay. She tried to rush me out of the hotel which is when I asked to speak to the manager. She told me she was the manager.
She processed the refund of the $350 deposit but told me she was charging me for the night. She was extremely rude and refused to find a suitable solution or even offer to help me find another place to stay. She then proceeded to charge my credit card for 1 night which was $133.85. She asked me several times to leave because she was upset. I advised I would not leave without the appropriate paperwork and confirmation of the cancellation. Once she provided me with the receipt of the charge, I left.
I have contacted Best Westerns Customer relations to file the complaint. I have gone through the proper channels, the site manager intentionally misinformed the CR team stating a 3rd room was offered. I will not be refunded the charge.

The breakfast was delicious and fresh. As for the location, our vehicle tire was slashed and so were three other vehicles parked in front of the Best Western front desk. Total cost to repair tire was over the cost of our hotel costs.
Not enough security staff on site to ensure customer and vehicle.

All the little things largely worked. Free easy parking was nice
Hot breakfast was quite good but could be hotter. The coffee had gone cool. There was a safety defect with the hair dryer but they said they would replace it as soon as we brought it to their attention.

The rooms were comfortable.
Clean the rooms properly, there was filth on the headboards, walls and the floor needed a proper vacuum. My son has dog allergies,I noticed he had a stuffy nose after playing on the floor with his toys.
