Very nice, comfy, clean and friendly staff, convenient location, away from pubs and noisy revellers.

The room was large and comfy, and the washrooms clean. The breakfast was simple was satisfying. There were sofas around where I could nap as I arrived early morning after an overnight flight and my room wasn't ready. I was exhausted and sleepy.

A wonderful place overall.

The location is very convenient for access to the downtown vicinities. It was clean. The staff was friendly.

Complimentary breakfast. Grab and go is ok but for the price a warm breakfast served to your room would change my rating to a 10. There is nothing better then breakfast in bed when staying at accommodations like these. Also, I found the bed to be a little uncomfortable. Maybe a thicker duvet and more blankets would have been more comfortable. I think an upgrade on bathroom products could be considered. The soaps supplies aren’t enough and are poor quality. Our bedroom had a small television. A bigger flat screen would have been nice.

Vintage St. John’s stay.

close to George Street, very cozy. I would recommend this hotel for a winters night out. Gets the “storm night room vibe.” if you are looking for a vintage St. John’s feel this hotel really has it. also very spacious. Lots of room!

It’s definitely aged. you can smell that mustiness in the hotel when you first walk in. it’s very dark in the rooms but again as I said it’s got that cozy feel. I don’t recommend staying here UNLESS it’s the winter. Also one note I noticed. With the rooms being so big I was disappointed with the size of the tv it’s very small and also the tv isn’t in High Definition.

Location and staff were excellent!

location was amazing. Bed was very comfortable. Provided enough pillows. Very quiet even though it was right down town.

Towels were a little worn. Toilet seat was broken.

Disappointing

We needed to cancel a night due to travel plan changes. A staff member at the desk said no problem even though I had booked through a third party supplier but that decision was changed later by another staff member and we were charged

Historic and comfortable

Right between Water St. with many restaurants and the harbor. Historic building with comfy beds, whirlpool tub. Lots of storage if you needed a place for several weeks, remote work, etc.

Long set of steps to carry your luggage down from Water St or walk around a long block to the flat entrance from the parking lot.

It was brief but would definately stay again.

This a great location by the harbor and close to George St. and the great nightlife.

The bed was comfortable but a bit worn, There was body divots in it.

Overall pretty decent.

Nice breakfast bar, good to see gluten free options as well! The spa tub was also nice as well. Good to be in the heart of downtown with so many bars and restaurants near by.

The water pressure in the large shower was pitiful and basically just dribbled out of the spouts, bathroom countertops were clean but streaky and there was also hair in the shower drain. The ice machine on our floor also did not work. The bed was not comfortable to sleep on and the pillows were flat. The remotes had buttons picked off.
