Cheaper than the average
Extremely dirty and poorly maintained accommodation. The person in charge of the reception is a rude man and he treats you with no respect by shouting. They gave me a room in which the toilet cistern didn't work and they left me a bucket with water to flush the water. The woman, on the other hand, is a very kind person. She would not repeat and I do not recommend it to anyone. A bad experience.

All thing is good expect staff behaviour
Receptionist Staff behaviour is very cheap or bad as they don’t know how to deal with their guest.

It was very quiet
No hot water in the morning, when I checked out the person at the counter just made excuses for the cold water, no apology

Nothing. Biggest and worst waste of money I've ever spent in my entire life. I'm taking this higher and I'm getting a refund..
The room wasn't accurately represented in the photos. Everything in my room was old outdated and trashy, the fan in the bathroom was broken, the toilet didn't flush, there was rust in the tub and the caulking was peeling. It was freezing and I had to manually move the vent slat by slat downwards to even get some heat. I was in the room for a total of 1 hour and 50 minutes. (I checked in at 2:00, which was a miserable experience because of the miserable old man at the front. Said I couldn't use my debit Mastercard, I needed a real credit card which wasn't working for them, and they wouldn't take cash.) When I checked in I just dropped my bags off I went to explore Regina, got back around 6:00/6:30ish and left around 8:00.
I tried to make the best of it but I was getting extremely nauseous and dizzy from the smell of pesticides because they just sprayed for bed bugs, and the blankets were not keeping me warm. I took a video of the bathroom, and a video of the rest of the room and how I left it as well as a bunch of photos that I've submitted to wyndam because even though I was in distress I was not offered a refund. I did get my deposit back though, and then spent the next few hours looking for a place to stay because it was gray cup weekend. I'd rather sleep in the backseat of my car than ever go to this place or use this business again in my life.
I will rewrite my review after dealing with the Wyndham company.
(I don't know if it's common practice to spray after every guest but I did check underneath the mattress protectors and there was no sign of bed bugs.)

The only thing I 'liked' was my walk around the corner to the Sheraton where I showed my passport (no additional I.D. was requested) and was offered a stay for 50 % off, rather than stay at Thriftlodge by Wyndham, since the SAME passport plus additional official photo I.D. was NOT 'good enough' for the loud rude guy at Thriftlodge. What a difference 3 short blocks makes! The first business pushes me away, the second welcomes me with open arms!
Loud rude guy filming my face with his cellphone camera yelling at me to 'Go to Hotel Saskatchewan. I have SO MUCH MONEY!' And that I could always 'Phone 911' if I disagreed with having my face filmed! Note: SAME passport this 'host' rejected WAS accepted the week previous for a 4-Star hotel booking in Saskatoon; and following the evening described here in which I was REJECTED (but not at the Sheraton 3 blocks over!) I went on to Moose Jaw and that SAME passport was all that was required for a booking at a 5-Star hotel in Moose Jaw. No additional identification was requested in either Saskatoon or Moose Jaw.

cheap price, good for just sleeping and leaving
felt like a motel, I thought I was booking at travelodge and didn’t realize until we got there it was thriftlodge… big difference. we ended up staying anyway and it wasn’t bad but wouldn’t stay here again unless it was out of desperation i.e., emergency, no other hotels available, etc.
had a strong mildew smell coming from the carpet that you could smell as soon as you walked in.

Overall clean
The toilet didn't flush. During the checkout process, we informed them about the issue (not even complaining) and the man very rudy said that they had made the water to flow very slowly and if we didn't know how to flush, he could sit on the toilet and show us! Disgusting!
The room was clean but I do not recommend this place even for one night.

I was not told about the pet policy until after I made the reservation. Than when I tried to cancel the process was a cluster flurry. It took me 45 minutes and multiple calls to cancel.

NOTHING. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.
TERRIBLE TREATMENT BY RECEPTION. FELT SO UNSAFE.

Nothing
The fact that I wasn’t allowed to check in and the owner threatened me several times is enough to tell everyone that this is not the place to stay. They should be embarrassed!

Lady at front desk nice
Room had no air conditioner, bed was very uncomfortable, bathroom plumbing is always making some noise. The front desk lady put us in a suppose to be non smoking room but was a smoking room. Complained to her and she put us in another room The motel is very run down, will not stay there again. Too much homeless around and we had to park In litted area so no one can steal. Pretty bad
