Cozy little motel

We’ve been staying at this lovely place for a few summers in a row. There are rooms with small kitchens great for preparing breakfast or even dinner. Everything you’ll need is there, from utensils to plates and pots. It’s very close to Wasa lake( about 25 km), where you can chill all day long. There’s is a nice hot tub at the property as well as a beautiful garden and some horses in the back. The town of Kimberley is also a short distance away( about 3 mins drive).

The North Star Motel is very homely. The rooms are warm and the owners/staff are very welcoming.

The door lock was a little flimsy and it took some time to figure out how to get it to lock.

Sweet, Bavarian style motel.

Sweet, Bavarian style motel. Rooms are smallish but comfortable. Very clean and with all kinds of touches to give it personality. The owner gave us some delicious rhubarb loaf and chocolates as a welcome gift.

The location is on the highway a couple of minutes outside of town so not really a walk to the main downtown area.

Lovely stay - would happily return!

We loved the rhubarb loaf upon check-in, the clean and cozy room, the outdoor hot tub, and friendliness of staff. Perhaps the cleanest room we have ever stayed in. Beds were very comfy and the road was not noisy at all. The location is very convenient to Kimberley and we enjoyed having a mini fridge, microwave, and table in the room, so that we could eat our breakfast and dinner there. The cats on the property are lovely. The motel has a very inviting feel and we felt quite welcome. We would happily come again and have already recommended it to many friends and family.

Wonderful !

Wonderful wonderful motel. Off the highway but quiet. Lovely and clean and the decor had a great kitschy feel. The reception while checking in was lovely.

We loved our stay at the North Star.

The North Star motel is an absolute gem! The location is excellent and amazingly quiet, which is surprising since it is beside a highway. The spacious room was charmingly decorated, spotless, and the beds were very comfortable. Trish is very welcoming and gave us a delicious homemade rhubarb loaf, which was certainly enjoyed.

Should I ever be in the vicinity I would stay there again and would highly recommend it

The property was a surprising find for a older motel. It was furnished with antiques, well decorated. The host was lovely and accommodating. On registering she gave us a home baked banana loaf which was delicious. We were concerned it was on a busy highway but the motel was set back enough that we didnt hear any traffic.

I cannot think of anything negative to say about the motel, it had everything we needed.

You can tell the people who run this motel really care. There were pleasant little touches everywhere. They were very welcoming. My kids loved the place. I would most definitely stay here again.
