Our room had a small kitchen
The website indicates that the King Suite can accommodate 4 adults. Not even close. The pull out couch mattress was disgusting, and even a child wouldn't be able to sleep on it. The bed was super soft, and my husband and I had to sleep on the edge of the mattress because there was such a dip in the middle. The doors to the suite wouldn't close properly. Very, very disappointing 😞 $400 for 2 nights. What a rip off.

We had a full suite, with a separate bedroom. Which was a god send, as the fridge mags an horrendous noise. Comfy seating and small table and chairs. Desk and chair. Marginally equipped kitchenette. No job or oven and just a basic microwave. Crockery and utensils. There wasn’t a kettle, but asked reception and they obliged. Bathroom spacious.
Noisy fridge in the room.

Cleanliness was good, bedding and amenities were nice. Staff were friendly and accommodated my special request.
Continental breakfast was only okay. Bagels were stale, and the jams were half evaporated in their containers.
Air conditioning not performing well enough. Gave off a strange smell too, kinda smelled like (clean) cat litter.

We used the continental breakfast as snacks for our lunch. We found a restaurant for our breakfast meal. Because we planned on hiking all day, we wanted a full breakfast menu. We only asked our room to be cleaned when leaving. The only staff we were in contact with was the reception staff and they were very friendly, and answered any questions we had . The location on the edge of downtown was excellent. We did enjoy an early morning coffee at the breakfast room. It was a good spot to socialize with other early risers over our coffees.
To have the restaurant open for the long weekend would have been nice, as there aren't a lot of options for eating out.

This is the third occasion we travelled to Tumbler Ridge, BC to visit relatives and stayed at the Trend Mountain Hotel. In our opinion, there isn't any other choices but the Trend Mountain as their self serve breakfast is very satisfying and filling. I also have personal allergies to feather products and the hotel staff obliged my request and removed them from the room prior to our arrival. Thanks to the hotel housekeeping staff.
Nothing.

Tumbler Ridge is an outdoor paradise! We came here for sightseeing, snowshoeing and enjoying the mountain air.
The hotel surprised us with its excellent accommodation (King Jacuzzi room and 2 Queen beds room). The pool and exercise room were closed for renovations but there was an excellent swimming pool in the Community Centre. The hotel is connected with Western Steakhouse restaurant, which was not the tastiest or friendliest we've seen, but was not bad for the middle of wilderness. The next day, we found better restaurants in the town.
The Visitor Centre is awesome! Always check with it for any excursion in the area. The hotel has ample free parking and very good free Wi-Fi.
The King Jacuzzi room was very spacious and generally clean, except for the front area where the maid just splashed some very sticky cleaning supply on the linoleum, so we glued to the floor every time we walked there. The jacuzzi was enjoyable but again, not washed properly. When we filled the tub, it became full of some yellowish green foamy stuff. We had to drain it, wash it as best as we could, and then the water was clear. Still, when we got out of it, we immediately rushed to the shower.
The kitchenette was very down on utensils (only one spoon and one fork). Aside from that, everything else was great.

This is the second occasion that I've stayed at the Trend Mountain Hotel & Conference Centre in Tumbler Ridge, BC. If you haven't stayed there previously, then don't place "high" expectations as you will be disappointed. It's the best hotel option in Tumbler but the continental breakfast is pretty basic and on occasion, the hotel's interior is quite dirty with mud being tracked in by the mine workers who reside at the hotel.
As mentioned previously, the hotel's continental breakfast is pretty basic and requires improvement and monitoring by the staff who manage the hotel. While we stayed at the hotel, the village of Tumbler had a scheduled power outage on Sunday, Sept 25th between 3:00 am to 11:00 am and the hotel's staff posted this notice in the elevators, but they didn't offer any other options for breakfast, so you simply didn't eat breakfast that morning. It was pretty disappointing the hotel advertised continental breakfasts were available, but the Management just ignored the hotel guest's needs. Unfortunately, pretty poor service delivery by the Hotel Management as they could have definitely planned better and had other breakfast options available to it's guests.

We have stayed here a few times over the years when visiting Tumbler Ridge. It is an older property but staff are super-friendly, helpful and obliging, the rooms are clean and cosy, you get a great cooked breakfast and overall it is great value for money. We personally really like that you can go directly to your room from parking instead of going to the lobby, because we go to Tumbler Ridge to be outdoors and often come back dirty from our fieldwork or outdoor recreation and don't want to go through a clean hotel lobby tracking dead leaves, mud and pine needles with our dirty wet boots and gear in that state. So this hotel/motel complex is quite idea for us. Also, they have a reasonable laundry service which was great for extended stays (i.e., one week) like ours. Also their internet has been upgraded since last year and is now fast (it was less impressive on previous stays).
Being an older property there is some wear and tear throughout, but for us the positives (i.e., friendly staff, clean, convenient access to parking, generous cooked breakfast, fast, dependable internet, etc.) outweigh this one issue. I guess it depends on the purpose of travel to Tumbler Ridge plus one's needs and expectations. We are not business travellers; we come primarily to be outdoors and want a cosy, comfortable friendly base in town so this one works really well for us.

We stayed in the King Jacuzzi Suite and it was a beautiful room! We were attending a “Celebration of Life” and were very pleased that we could check in early to get ready. Also very happy that we could get some breakfast items in the morning. Covid rules were followed which made us feel comfortable.
