Comfortable and Relaxing Place to Stay!

Very well kept heritage home with great ambience. We were treated to an upgraded room which we appreciated. Spacious room with high ceiling. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Very relaxing place to stay.

The breakfast croissant sandwiches, while delicious, could have been a little warmer.

Schönes Flair, gute Lage, nettes Personal, hat sehr gut gepasst!

Das Frühstück war sehr gut, selbst gemachte Kuchen, Cookies rundeten das Frühstück ab. Der Kaffee war kräftig und nicht so dünn, wie in anderen Destinationen. Das Flair des Hotels gleicht einer alteingesessenen Destination, gut gepflegt. Das Personal ear sehr nett, wir konnten unser Auto auch noch länger stehen lassen. Ich würde das Hotel wieder buchen!

Das Heizsystem ist interessant, vorallem, da man im Bad auf einen Elektrostrahler zurückgreifen muss. Und das Hotel ist nicht barrierefrei.

A gorgeous experience!

The grounds and porch were fabulous locations to sit and enjoy the lovely breakfast with home-baked goodies. Everything about the interior was exquisite - we felt like we were in a period movie set. The room was delightful, and the bathroom modern and exceptionally clean.

For the price you pay, I would expect the wow factor….a bit disappointing.

The breakfast was very good. The building majestic. We were close to our activities. The one staff we saw in the morning was very welcoming.

The room was so dark it made the mood really somber. The few lamps or night lights were not soothing to the eyes. Just lighting up the colour of the room would be a great start….and you can’t say the colour reflects the era of the building. They could announce that their rooms have no tv before you finish your booking!

Superb

Lovely inn in a great location. Beautiful room -- loved the fireplace! Very clean. The contactless check-in and concierge system was seamless. Breakfast was delicious.

Beautiful Heritage building. Easy walk into Princes St for lots of lovely restaurants and old buildings. Lovely decorated and very comfortable bed.

The Inn was certainly more than a typical hotel stay!

Breakfast was good - perhaps little more choice of hot items. There was a very good egg/bacon wrap but would have liked potatoes or extra egg option. The Inn’s setting on quiet residential street short walk to downtown shops and restaurants was great. Extras like blankets and heater on front porch made time outside with coffee very enjoyable. Also spent time in the parkour with glass of wine after a full day. The room was very spacious with comfortable setting area, fireplace and great renovated bathroom.

This is a beautiful inn in a great location -- very walkable to the harbor and the college. We were pleasantly surprised by the welcome goodies and contemporary design elements. The room had everything we needed and was quiet at night.

The parking spots in the small lot are a little tight. But it looks like parking is available on the street.

Clean beautiful well managed historical property

City walking tour add-on exceeded expectations. Breakfast was delicious and catered to special dietary needs. Staff responsive to requests/

Room was only available for one night but there is nothing that could be done about that. Just wish could have stayed there an extra night or two.

A nice place, not for everyone.

The history and architecture is pretty cool. The people working there seemed very pleasant. Very good location.

The room was extremely bright at night. The addition of blackout curtains for the doors could help, there's way too much light pouring in from the street. They also need to do something about the skylight, like installing an automatic shutter to block it if you want. It was so bright that it felt like dusk in the room, not 2 in the morning. To be completely honest I had a lot of trouble sleeping. The foam mattress was also extremely uncomfortable. They make no mention of it on their website other than it being a "premium" bed. That can imply a number of different things. Shame on me for not asking for more details. The place was also very cold and damp feeling, outside of the main house. And there's an issue with black flies coming up out of the drains. And whomever was staying in the room adjacent, I could hear their heavy footsteps overhead. Luckily I sleep with white noise so that aspect didn't affect me, but it definitely would others.
