Great style, design, preservation of the historical aspect of the hotel. Not pristine, but fun and absolutely clean. Lots of attention to detail. We loved the consistently great staff, the 24 hour hot chocolate in the lobby during a cold, rainy weekend, the work out room.

Everything, amazing location, design and great breakfast. Would stay there many more times.
We loved literally everything.

The fact it is historic building
A lot of noise at night due to night clubs with LOUD music until 2 AM.
There is no self parking option so you are forced to pay a very high valet service which, summed up to tips to the valets, becomes really an unrealistic price for parking.

The hotel is beautiful. They upgraded us to a room with jetted tub for free and it was a corner room so we had lots of windows. The bed was super comfy and the shower was huge!!
There is no pool. Also the window in the bathroom didn't have the extra pane so you could hear the music from the bars. You couldn't hear them in the bedroom part of the room though.

Everything
The $45 over night parking
But everything else was excellent

The ICON hotel is centrally located, and thus quite convenient. The rooms are large and the bathrooms are quite luxurious. Lots of storage area. Very comfortable bed. They have room service breakfast, though the food wasn't very good. Hotel staff was very polite and helpful. Their showers have amazing water pressure!! My room had large shower AND a soaker tub- I appreciated that. Bottled water offered free of charge in the rooms. Other people report they paid for Wifi, but that was not my experience- it was free and fast.
My bathroom had 2 shampoos and no shower gel. The alarm clock had been set by a prior guest, which maintenance hadn't realized, so I was woken up at 5:30AM- not ideal, but they did offer me free breakfast to make up for this situation. The hallways of the hotel look very dated, a contrast to the renovated rooms. Breakfast buffet selection was okay, but by 9:30 most things were cold and no longer fresh.

The appearance of the hotel is beautiful. The rooms are plain, just a place to sleep.
Everything is overpriced from the moment you step out of your car. Parking is $45 a night. This hotel is definitely made for people with an expense account. A simple cheeseburger is going to run you about $20.

The hotel itself was beautiful.
That nothing worked in my sister's room. The staff didn't try to accommodate her with better service. Stuff had to keep coming up to her room to let her and her own room. My husband nephew and my sister got bites all over their legs as well as other guests.

the first thing that grabs you as you enter is that you immediately step back in time 100 years! The attention to detail from the woodwork to the desk lamps is amazing.
I tried to find something wrong and I couldn’t. This is a first for me , I can usually find a detail that was left out. Nothing

beautiful property with great staff
the location was extremely loud! once 10pm hits its thumping music until 2:05 am
we were on the highest floor and it’s was impossible to sleep until the music stopped. it’s where a lot of action is so it’s probably great for some guests. But for the price I wouldn’t suspect they have a ton on younger people staying at the property. unfortunately we won’t be staying at Hotel Icon again.
