Beautiful ancestral stone house right next to downtown.

Beautiful ancestral stone house. Right next to downtown Picton, walking distance from restaurants, cute shops, bars, supermarket, etc. 15 min by car from the beach at the Sandbanks Provincial Park. The owner provided a free day pass and gave valuable advise about reservations, and was always present for anything we needed.

The only thing is the church 2 blocks away tolling its bell every hour, starting 7am and until 10pm. It woke us up every day. Nothing is perfect, but anything I did not like was certainly minor, not worth mentioning.

Back door was stuck we had to unscrewed the door handle. The shower curtain fell off the ceiling.

Lovely house in a central location.

It is a lovely place to stay. Historic but with all the modern conveniences you would want. The host was very nice and provided everything you might need. It was very clean and decorated like a real home.

Patio off the kitchen - eating outdoors Kitchen was well appointed, good quality pots & pans. Nice taste in art work on the walls for the most part. Plenty of hot water, quickly available.

Strong mould smell when entering the unit, smoke alarm not mounted on the ceiling in the kitchen, questionable wiring (extension cords & exposed cords powering overhead lighting & air conditioner in bedroom, positioning of air conditioners in windows made it difficult in one instance & impossible in the other to open the windows for fresh air, no screens on the windows that were openable. Difficult to operate TV & no instructions. Also the remote batteries needed to be replaced. One corner of the kitchen had significant water damage which had not been repaired. A poster had been hung on the wall to semi-disguise the damage.

A perfect 10

Everything was perfect. Location is hard to beat. The house is superb, there's everything you need. Very close to the grocery store and many great restaurants. Parking spot. A short 20 min ride from Sandbanks. Free pass to Sandbanks is given by Susan the hostess. She was great, very helpful and answered my many questions from the beggining. I would love to go back there next year!

Comfortable, clean, and convenient

Comfortable house, both inside and out. Proximity to the town of Picton, super walkable. Short drive to Sandbanks, wineries, Glenora Ferry and other attractions. Comfortable house, air conditioning worked well. Beach towels were even provided saving us from carrying a load from home. Kitchen is well stocked and the house was very clean.

Didn't realize the bed would try and tip over if two adults sat at the foot of it - Gave us a good scare but it was a laugh at the end.

A wonderful base for a visit to Prnnce Edward County!

Well located near restaurants and shopping. Easy to get around. It was lovely to wonderful to have a full kitchen for breakfasts and we especially liked sitting in the garden. The home was charming and comfortable. It far surpassed any hotel room or B & B. Towels were plentiful.

One of the two beds did not have much give and you had to avoid sitting on the end of it to dress or put socks on as it tipped. The other was great. There are several doors to the property and we could not open the one that would allow us to put out the garbage into the bin provided, so we apologize to the hostess for that. There is a nice side sitting porch for coffee in the morning that guests will enjoy, but it does not seem to have any electricity.

Very happy with the house, the town!

It was lovely. Great decor. Love the stair railing! We expected smaller beds (double) but they were queen so we didn’t need the blow-up beds we brought. Clean well equipped kitchen!

Nothing really, may I suggest a small side table in The bathroom. That’s it!!

Perfect space for the home away from home we needed.

The downtown Picton location was ideal. We had a family event 10 minutes away and the proximity to stores was very helpful.

The location of the property was great as we had easy access to shops and restaurants. There were so many cosy areas to spend time in, both inside and out, weather permitting for the outdoor garden, and a lovely covered porch if raining. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well as the neighbourhood was quiet. Great bathroom space with full bath and powder room. The only change that I would suggest is an updated shower, but otherwise we found the space very welcoming and our stay extremely comfortable.

Lovely Cottage

It is a quaint cottage with tons of space. It is exceptionally close to dining and stores. The owner was very easy to talk to and super friendly. Overall, a great experience.

Fabulous home in Picton

Large, 2 bedroom home tasteful decoration and extra small touches, fabulous well equipped kitchen. Small outdoor space with bbq. Host was very helpful and accommodating- would recommend and stay again.

It was disappointing for the cost :(

The location was perfect

The doors did not close, the floors are warped, there is no water pressure in the shower. The walls are paper thin - neighbours were just talking and we heard everything. The owner asked for $30 more dollars for our dog but there is no notation of this on the website. It was very disappointing.

Felt like we were at home!

Susan was very helpful. The house was beautiful and very clean. Great furniture too! The beds were very comfortable. Amd great location! Close to restaurants and shopping. Looking forward to visiting again soon!
