The location was perfect, the look and feel of the hotel was on point. You could take the free lift down to base village. Super close to shops and restaurants. The gym was excellent.
I needed more towels to shower (just got done backpacking and hiking for three days). Called and asked for towels ASAP (the shower sprayed water EVERYWHERE when I turned it on due to the shower head being turned outwards. Lesson, always check the shower heads)..it took me three tries to get someone on the phone (kept going to a voicemail) and then another thirty minutes before someone brought towels. The hair dryer was broken. You have to park quite a ways away from the actual hotel. The pool was pretty gross filled with bugs and debris.

Service
Ski gear can be stored at now extra charge
Late night food nothing available

Proximity to slopes
There wasn’t much to like. It was quite obvious there is a leadership problem.

Breakfast was good, but not extremely hot. Room was very clean.
Facilities need updating looks a little overused. Very expensive to stay there.
3.8
no towels, room service ended early, front desk would not pick up phone, nothing in the hotel room as far cotton/amenities, coffee machine was not filled on arrival.

Lounge and Sun deck were the best features of the hotel. Rooms are small and old but they were clean. Pictures online make rooms look much nicer than they really are. Price was steep. Food at restaurant on site was very expensive and so so quality.
Ordered a pizza to take to room. Toppings were not what we ordered and pizza was nasty. Lounge and sundeck were nice, the rest was overrated.

Location
The staff was great, but the price of most of the normal amenities like breakfast were pretty steap

nice location
we received no housekeeping service for three days - after repeatedly informing the hotel staff that we would like them to make up the room. also, the HVAC fan was very loud and made it difficult to sleep.

great location, staff was very helpful
the elevators were a little confusing

The heat in our room wasn’t working and it was 18 degrees outside. We had to have a engineer come at at least three times. The fan was blowing out cold air. When we turned the fan off, it would continuously make a ticking sound. They were going to have us move to another room, but it was bedtime and we did not have the energy to move all our things. When I checked out the person at the front desk did not even ask “how was my stay.” It was my fault for not asking for a manager to ask for a reduction on the room rate.

Nice service and good staff

We had an unexpected last minute emergency and had to find a room, on a Saturday night and not much was open. The staff was amazing and worked to accommodate us and even offered a room upgrade. The price was such a good value and we loved this hotel.

First and foremost, the staff! It didn't matter what we needed, or what question we had, each and everyone took the time to help us, guide us to the right person/direction, and absolutely made sure our needs were met, in the most courteous and friendliest way. The shuttle service to/from JAS Aspen Festival was most appreciated too! This was unexpected as it was not offered by the previous owner, Westin. This was most appreciated as the other alternatives were very inefficient.
None. Everything was great!

It was in a nice location of beautiful Snowmass.
Our room was not ready upon arrival so they stuck us in a different room that was on the 8th floor. We had to go up three different elevators just to get there and were traveling with our infant son. The third elevator was so old and rickety that even our bellman refused to get in. He instead put our luggage in the elevator and took the stairs…. After our initial trek to get to our room our bellman had to go all the way back to get us new keys because the ones they gave us did not work. When we requested a room change they said they said they would but then just ignored us. Multiple electrical outlets in our room did not work. My wife cut her ankle in the middle of the night on a dangerous metal slat sticking out from the bed frame. The morning we went to leave they said they could not find our car that we valeted because whoever valeted it misplaced the keys in the wrong area. All in all for the price this place was an absolute joke and we will never stay here again when we come back to Snowmass.
