It was a nice hotel that I’d go back to

I liked the cleanliness and the customer service. Specifically from “Dimitry” & another African American lady…whose name, I don’t remember.

I didn’t like the fact that the rooms air conditioner seemed a little louder than expected and older than expected. I also would say the showers were clean. However, the bottom of the tub was still showing deeper stains from over the years.

The location was perfect for our plans to visit family.

The pool water filtration seemed lacking or overburdened due to the volume of users. We will skip the pool next time.

Size of suite

The suite had bed bugs. I was bitten. Also I made a mistake and made a reservation on the wrong day. I arrived the next day. I explained it to Hilton as well as Homewood. They made no concessions for me. I even booked 2 nights for my son as well as the 2 nights I booked for myself along with my grandchildren. I've never stayed at a Hilton hotel and been bitten by bed bugs. I reported it and never heard back about the extra day I was charged for the room or about the bed bugs. Very disappointed. I won't stay there ever again.

Room forever a way from elevator, parking lot had kids skulking around by dumpster and felt unsafe. Police were arriving as we went in

We stayed a whole 5 minutes long enough to check for bed bugs as our usual when we check in. Behold bed bugs under the bed. The only thing I liked is the lady at the front was super understanding and apologized and assured me we will get our refund

The staff and cleanliness was top notch.

The beds were hard as a rock and more importantly none of the fire safety equipment such as the sprinkler system and fire alarms were inoperable on the wing we were staying in and we were not given notification until the day we departed.

The location was great and the rooms were very spacious and clean. The property was well maintained!

First, there is not enough parking if the hotel is full. It shares a parking lot with another hotel and on a weekend night, there is definitely not enough parking to cover both hotels. Second, they charged me a ridiculous $75 pet fee for our small dog that was not noted or included on the reservation I made through booking.com. I either had to pay it when I arrived or not pay it, forfeit my room, and my card would still be charged for the night since it was too late to cancel. I felt trapped and a bit taken advantage of. What was supposed to be $199 for one night turned into $310 after all was said and done. Not worth it for the 10 hours I was there. The person checking me in was very rude about it as well. The kicker was that they had posters everywhere about how the hotel was pet friendly and accommodating but no where did it mention the fee. Pet owners beware!
