Great location

It was close to the airport
I had reserved a king room which was confirmed prior to my arrival. I got a room with two queen beds instead. I was told that they didn’t have any king rooms available. The hotel looked fairly empty to me. Also the ceiling had leaked prior to my arrival which was unnoticed by the staff. I cleaned up the mess myself so I could get to bed for my early flight the next morning.

Cleanliness, friendly staff, convenient location.
Although I understand... the cost of rooms this time of year is shocking

Room was large and comfortable
TV was far from the bed. Hard to read words on TV. Oatmeal was extremely runny

The property is right across the street from a beach. There are many restaurants close by the the hotel supplies coupons to.
The rooms were spacious and clean. each room supplied shower gel, shampoo and conditioner dispersers within the showers. The staff was helpful and friendly.
The hotel is central to a lot of activities, shopping, and restaurants. A lot that is within walking distance.
The bathroom doors were like barn doors. They are decorative and stylish, BUT offer no privacy. There are gaps around the door and they don’t lock.

The breakfast wa good and also the location.
There should be a crosswalk to the beach. The street is very busy.
The fee for the dog was way to much.

The sliding shower door would not stay closed had to put something in the shower tracks. I would’ve gave it a 10 rating if it weren’t for this.

first of all, don’t book on Booking.com because they are more expensive than calling the property. The hotel in general Not Bad but it’s too expensive for a hotel like this. first of all the heating does not work, second the pool was so cold that we couldn’t get our kids in it.
heating does not work, very expensive for a hotel like this, the water for the pool was freezing

The breakfast was fine.
The Staff behind the desk including the day manager. We’re the Rudest people from any establishment I have stayed at. The incompetence and downright condescending attitude still has me in shock

traffic is very heavy at this location.

The hotel was great, but when I booked thru booking.com they falsely said my rooms would accommodate 6 adults. When I called to check on my reservation the hotel told me they would only accommodate 4, but even room for a roll away bed. I had to scramble to figure out what to do. Thankfully the hotel was able to change one of my rooms from 1 bed to 2, but booking.com falsely advertised and could have potentially ruined my whole vacation!

The room was nice, but the refrigerator was a bit small. Also the barn doors on the bathroom were terrible. No privacy at all. They shouldn't be right next to the bed. Bathroom doors used to be near the entrance way as you come into the room. And an actual door was used to enter the bathroom.
The tub was draining too slow.
The Ice machine was filthy.
People were allowed to have their pets in the hotel,. And that caused allergy, and allergic issues in the bedrooms. You can tell that some pet owners allow their dogs or cats or whatever to sleep in the beds. No matter what, you could still smell dogs on your comforter from a previous person who use the room that might of have had an animal staying in their room.
The hotel should have pet friendly, and none pet rooms.
Read my response up above.

Location was decent.
Was there for my anniversary and ended up getting a call the day before the reservation stating that our King room, which was also a handicapped room (had no idea since we booked through a 3rd party app) was needed for a handicapped individual... so we were bumped, willingly yet reluctantly to a room with two twin beds on the same floor as all the dogs(even though we don't have dogs). Between the barking from the dogs, the broken elevator and the hot tub that was out of service I was a little disappointed with spending $350 pls a night.

Hampton Inn is a known hotel and not a motel
BED BUGS- I woke up at 4 AM to find bed bugs crawling on my pillow. I had to wake up my entire family and both beds had bedbugs in them. I called the front desk and told them about the bedbugs and they offered to bring me a new pillowcases. That is unacceptable I would never lay back down on that bed. My entire family had to get up and we left the hotel immediately and our last day of vacation was ruined.

Breakfast mediocre. Great apple juice and hot chocolate. Expected higher caliber of food. Liked room design; mirrors in front of closet as sliding door; mirrors as doors for bathroom; bedspreads and sheets and pillows. Very comfortable. Room was small, but good use of space.
Only one elevator working. Room was not cleaned as requested. We were told to post card on door because we had a little white dog. Then when we arrived back at room very late at night they said that card told the housekeeper NOT to clean room. I was very angry. VERY angry. VERY angry. And I still am. We really paid a LOT for this room for 2 nights. At midnite I had to go down to front desk for clean towels, soap, etc. After a very long day in the sun we were exhausted and not pleased to be greeted by an uncleaned room.
No FOX news station on TV that we found.

View of Grand Traverse bay
Was told we would have to give a 24 hour advance notice to get room cleaned. Never had to do this at any other hotel that we have stayed at. And we had to do this every day.
