We had a wonderful one night stay in a Zen garden suite, which had a private entrance from a walkway near the main house. The bed was so comfy and faced the fireplace and TV. We loved the luxurious bathroom and having our own small zen garden! The setting is beautifully landscaped and very serene.
Breakfast was served buffet style in the main house dining area. Not lavish, but plentry of tasty offerings and good coffee.

The grounds were beautiful and peaceful and the bed was wonderful.
The tub/shower were so weird and not the safest.

We liked everything about the property. It had a Zen vibe.

Staff was exceptional. Super helpful. We texted that we needed towels at the pool and they brought them. The rooms were wow! A ten ton stone tub, meditation room, cool curtains. I totally felt like I was in Japan. This place is a gem. Don’t pass it up. And around the corner is a Michelin star restaurant.

Room was a little dated, but fine

We arrived late but they left clear instructions how to find the keys and the house.
We lost a camera on the premise and only realized it after we left. When we asked the hotel, they told me they found the camera and agreed to mail it back to us.

The style of the hotel
The overall experience is ok. I probably would not recommend this hotel to my friends and family.
The reason is simple. My room is not clean. I don't want to blame the house cleaning team. When I rolled down the curtain during the night time, a lot of bugs fell off and there are a lot of their dead body on the curtain as well. I can not imagine if it happened in a hot summer day.
Besides that, I think the front desk is only helpful when I checked in and out. It was raining a lot during my stay. When I told them that the hotel umbrella is broken and can they bring me another one. The front desk lady took the umbrella, but never gave me an another one. So I had to buy an umbrella in a local store.
And for their breakfast, they only provided scramble eggs and sausage, coffee, tea and really small muffins... and only one fruit per day...
I feel l like even Holiday Inn serves better breakfast..
I paid 800 dollars and wanted to have a great experience but ended up regretting it. This fells like a family run inn not a four-star hotel.

Loved the tranquil atmosphere @ Gaige House. The continental breakfast was lovely and we also appreciated the wine tasting. Loved the shower, decor & toiletries, too. The grounds @ Gaige House were superb and we would love to have had more time to enjoy the pool and spa.
Cannot think of a thing.

great location in sonoma valley, on of the cutest towns in the valley! the wine and cheese tasting was great. good parking
poor accessibility to the room, breakfast could be so much better! hidden charges (resort fee?????) without informing

I really loved this place. The excellent taste of the building and the room. It was the perfect stay for our anniversary. They even give us an upgrade since they have the availability. Great pool, beautiful gardening and perfect location, next to good restaurants. The complimentary cheese & wine in the afternoon was a plus.
Breakfast was good quality but there were only a few options. You really need your car to move around, the restaurants are 3 mins away but you cannot walk since there are no sidewalks.

Room in japanese style was amazing and is the (only) reason for 10 points.
Room service breakfast was just bad (presentation and food wise). Skip the breakfast and choose one of the nice restaurants or cafes in Sonoma.

it was so tranquil and quaint. We loved the location close to all the wineries.
One of the guests at The Gaige house took our cab which made us late for dinner

It’s environment is relaxing.
I COMPLETELY do not understand why there are so many BUGS or PESTS in my room, probably because the room is so NATURAL.

There's a zen like environment about this place. We were at the poolside suite, which is only bettered by the creekside suite. It's almost like having a private pool and moon deck to yourself! The dining area is on the second floor and the fire pit just oozes charm in that setup. Can't ask for a more tranquil environment in Sonoma.
The front desk staff - tall guy with long hair, in particular - is a bit curt and untrained. They stick to the manual when, ironically, customer centricity should be chapter one. There were no pleasantries exchanged, no feedback solicited, and absolutely zero warmth. It's as though the charm of their own accommodations was not rubbing off on them.
The poolside suite has the tv at an awkward angle, and too far from the bed. Which basically means you have to sit in one of the two chairs (not a loveseat) and watch the tv. Not comfortable in the least.
And finally, it would be good to have some fruit and coffee available all day. The breakfast is extremely light and inadequate, and if the residents are planning to stay at the property during the day, there is no room service, dining service, or even basic coffee/fruit available. This takes away from the overall relaxing vibe of this gorgeous retreat, as you will be forced to step out to grab a coffee/bite.

Quiet, clean, Japanese atmosphere, Staff were super friendly and nice, the room is surprisingly big, the hot tub in the spacious bathroom could wipe off all the tiredness. Didn’t get to enjoy it but there are free good wine as well as Sake during the happy hour.
It’s not too close to the main popular wineries, had to drive 30-min rough road to get there but would be great option if you intend to get away from city noises.

Wonderful friendly staff, beautiful rooms and grounds and a great location to explore the area from!

The calm/peaceful atmosphere was welcome, easy access to Glen Ellen restaurants and not-just-winery attractions. The madeira open bar was really cool, and I'd never seen that before.
I think they are still working out the Covid-kinks; breakfast was closer to diner ambiance than B&B.
