I liked the price.
checked in around 11:30pm, was super sketchy with homeless people or what looked like druggies everywhere. got my key and my kids to the room. turned on the light to the room and roaches crawling everywhere!!! disgusting!!! left the room and got my money back.

Inability to afford longer stay

Location easy to find just off the Pacific coast highway - that was the reason for choosing it, as we just needed an overnight stop on our journey south. Cheap price (but you get what you pay for....)
No drink facilities in the room. Nowhere to walk in the evening: you need the car to drive to a shop / cafe / attraction. Staff seemed ok, but poor English. Car parking free, but if full, the spaces would be rather tight to get into.

the location and it was nice and clean.

Said it was 0.8 miles from the breach, but that would require crossing freeways and a railway line. Motel was next to a junk car yard on a busy road. No shops within walking distance.

By entering the room flies where flying everywhere, and it was really smelly, the floor was sticky, used bath products in the bathroom, hair dryer sticky and full off dust! Under the bed a lot of rubbish from previous guests! Did see the owner cleaning the room with a leave blower. Beds where good that was the only positive thing.

It was a room with a roof.
The staff didn't care at all that the people above me had been noisy for hours on end.
3.5 / 5.0
I liked how kind the staff where and that there was a mini fridge
The loud neighbors. The mold in the bathroom.

convenient location
it was noisy, not even instant coffee would be provided, the bed cover was rather worn out… overall rather dated facilities.

The room I had was quiet
Desk Manager said my debit card was declined. I called my bank earlier in the day, and the bank said " It was activated".

The parking is difficult and hard to get in and out of.
That it was walking distance to the beach.

The location was ideal
The staff was rude, the room smelled old and was quite small

The staff provided EXCELLENT customer service from the moment we arrived through the whole visit. The location was easy to find and we fell in love with the nearby Baldemiro's Taco Shop, YUM!!! Very nice people. Thank you!
Understandable the rates were higher during the coveted "Car Week" in Monterey, but I'm sure they are more reasonable in times of less demand. It was quiet at night at we got a great night's sleep.

This is OK basic accomodation if you are visiting Monterey and don't wan to pay downtown prices. It is about 15 minutes from the Pier and the Aquarium. The beds are comfortable.
The motel is parallel to and right on a busy street. The noise from the street is noticable but not horrible. The carpet is a dark brown/ black, which makes you wonder about how clean it is.

It’s nice and quite
Wouldn’t change anything

Location is good, short distance from everything we wanted to see.
Office and staff do not communicate too good, maintenance opened our door after we were settled in.

Place was really dirty and gross but good thing I only needed a place to star for a night on our road trip. the people who stay here are weird too and the rooms smell bad as well. I didn’t expect much from an cheap motel but I’ve stayed in cheap motels no where near this bad or gross. Beds were hard as rocks and I refused to sleep under the covers or use the pillows there so I’m glad I had my own... there was also hair all over the bathroom as though someone cut thwre hair and nobody came in our room to clean before we arrived 🤢 overall would never come back here even if I was in town

Close to stores
Bugs, managers don’t treat everyone the same in all aspects , staff complains about giving toilet paper and towels
