Location.
Management did not address issues attentively and professionally. Accusatory when explaining issues to them including clogging tub/shower, leaking faucet, dirty toilet upon arrival, no housekeeping. "Robert", the manager, was condescending and passive. We requested housekeeping and plumbing repairs daily but he continued to placate us with "I'll check on it" or "You miscommunicated with staff. Similar recent complaints on Tripadvisor reviews. Not worth the $400+ per night. There are many other great lodging establishments in the area. Do not be fooled by online photos and descriptions.

The location can’t be beat. A great spot to stay close to all the Lakes Region action.
It’s expensive and also starting to show signs of age. For the price the property should have some upkeep.

We loved the location of the property - very close to the lake. I would make sure you figure out where you want to stay as there are three buildings (the best one is church landing as it’s right on the lake but also seemed to be the most expensive and updated). We stayed in the older original building across the street and didn’t mind the beautiful walk over across the street to church landing where we hung out most of the time (using their pool and enjoying the views) the great thing is you have the ability to use all the amenities no matter what building! Also, I found out that if you go over to the bay harbor building before 11 you can use the paddle boards / kayaks for free as they are included in the resort fee (after that they cost a small amount) !!!
The building we stayed in (original mill falls) was a bit outdated - but they did have an indoor pool and although small still nice!

The area was very nice. The shops were a nice touch. It was very clean
The restaurants were across a very busy street. The cafe on our side for breakfast was closed.
There was no staff there when we wanted to leave.

Beautiful!
The only thing I’d change is the location of the air conditioner. It was in a little room off of the bedroom. Didn’t cool the bed area as much as it should’ve.

I like the location, shops, and restaurants. The little creek that flows through the mill was beautiful. I caught some fish too.

The fireplace in the room and balcony really made our stay even more of a "romantic winter getaway" - beautiful lake views.
The pool was out of towels when we first got there and front desk staff was non-existent the whole weekend we were there. We had to go to the main location to check-in and drive back to the Inn.

The room was very clean and beds were comfortable, we had to shift our check in date last minute and the staff was very helpful with this.
After we used the hot tub we wanted to shower but when we got to the room we realized our shower didn't work. Half of the water came out the shower and the other half came out of the tub faucet, also the tub would not drain. We called about this and they told us someone would be up in 10 minutes to give us a new room (it was about 10pm). It took over 30 min for someone to come up so we were stuck waiting in wet bathing suits trying not to get the furniture wet. We finally got another room and around 12am discovered that the toilet did not work. When you pulled the lever to flush nothing happened. My partner ended up fixing this because we did not want to change rooms again after midnight but you should not have to be fixing things in your hotel room. This was all really disappointing for the price. Lastly, you have to pay a resort free when you stay at Mill Falls which I would be okay with except all of the resort accommodations and activities take place up the road at Church Landing which is pretty inconvenient especially in the winter. We love Meredith but we will not be staying at Mill Falls again

Because we booked with Booking.com the hotel will not provide any assistance in any problems that come up. We are told because I booked with Booking .com I could not change my room.
I also could not change the location and the room I booked on the web page was not what we got. We booked a room with a king bed and a sofa with a balcony we did not get that. We got the king bed but that was it. The room was also smaller than advertised and it said soundproof and it was not.

View of the lake (sunrise) was very nice in the morning, location in downtown Meredith convenient for walking into town, on site restaurant had reasonable prices and good food (Common Man establishments), clean rooms/facilities, free parking, seemed like there were a number of activities available through the hotel (snow shoeing, ice skating, etc.)
The hotel consists of multiple buildings and none of the facilities (pool, hot tub, spa, etc.) were located in the building that we were assigned which was misleading and a primary reason for choosing this hotel. We did walk over to the main hotel to check out facilities, but going back and forth with wet clothes/ hair in the winter wasn't a big selling point (would likely be different scenario in spring, summer, fall). Bathrooms and furniture were a bit dated, especially for the price point. Minimal staff present to help or explain different activity options, check-out, etc. No staff present in building we were assigned.

comfortable
it was dark when we checked in… I called to let them know we would be later and they told me to check in at a different address than where the hotel was… I thought I booked a hotel room like I saw on the webpage. Come to find out I was staying in a building down the block and across the street. nobody at that front desk (due to staffing shortage), and I had to ask other guests to find our room. parked around back, and carried suitcases down steps and up steps to get into the building.

Great view of the lake, charming location and area opportunities to visit.
VERY dirty window and deck, and wall baseboard in the bathroom. My husband had to clean the main window just so we could enjoy our expensive water view. NOT cool! Didn’t even want to sit on the deck because it was very dirty!

Clean room
No one around except rare housekeeper. Felt alone in building and wondered about security.

breakfast could have been better. Location was bad. had to cross major road.
Didn't realize main building was so far from room, along with dinner and lake. no receptionist at our hotel. Water did not go down in shower.
