The Tilton Inn was beautiful, comfortable and had so much character. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had dinner at The Onion, really delicious food.
My only suggestion would be to keep your dead bolt locked. Housekeeping opened our door without knocking at 8am while we were in the room.

We stayed in the Henry Ford room lots of books. Bed very clean and comfortable.
Was nice it had a tavern and restaurant on site, food was great.
Would like to have seen coffee available in the tavern in the morning, but Cumberland was just a short walk

the town is lovely ! The historic charm of the inn truly pops out at you when you arrive at its door . the restaurant was cozy , the food very good and the hostess and waitstaff were very friendly
Through booking.com we sent a request for the Sandborn room which we were not given.
Sadly , the room we did get was small , stuffy and way too warm even for October . The bed was very uncomfortable ,sloping in the middle and the pillows were very small and flat .
When inquiring if the Sandborn room was booked that night the owner Alan informed us that it wasn't . I asked him how much more it would be to stay in that room instead as we had requested it earlier . His curt response was " it's not an option . with staffing the way it is I wouldn't be able to get it cleaned for someone else tomorrow " Wow !
Again , I can't say enough about the wonderful server and hostess in the Onion's Pub . They were very welcoming and accommodating .
The owner was not.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. It’s a quaint hotel in the middle of town. The food in the restaurant was very good and the bar was nice and had bar food available.
The room needed better lighting and a mirror to see yourself doing make up and hair. The one in the bathroom was very old and the lighting was terrible. There was a big mirror over the head of the bed, and a picture over the dresser. There was no hairdryer in the bathroom and no phone in the room to call and ask for one. So I needed to get dressed and find someone.

The shower was awesome
It was not the room that was shown in the pitches when I booked it. Instead of 2 qeen size beds We got 2 twin beds. The room looked very different than what was shown When I booked it

The staff were absolutely fabulous! Everyone was so kind and welcoming.
We loved the decor and character of our room. Housekeeping was on point - the room was clean and well tended to.
We appreciated access to the 2nd floor porch to sit and take in a lazy afternoon and enjoyed dining at the onsite restaurant!

A bit noisy.

Location is what made the inn. walking distance was all we needed for food and shopping. Parking was great. The inn is wide open and historically authentic. We enjoyed the "old ambiance" and architecture. Bed was comfy and warm.
Breakfast was cold, no warm/hot items in a hotel that was generally COLD. We had to take the space heater out of the closet and run all the time. It took five minutes running water in the sink to get warm enough to take a shower. Told to keep the bathroom door closed during shower or the fire alarm may go off. We were invited by signage to go to the upper floor to view from the cupola, but access is kept locked for liability reasons now. Wi-Fi connection was unreliable from the second floor where our room was.... oh well.

It was a short drive to our concert venue
TV in room was quite small

The bed was very comfortable.
The view from the windows looked out to the vack of an apartment building in very poor condition. Old mattress up against the building, etc..
The bathroom was spacious but not well maintained.

The crawford room where I stayed was perfect for me
It was just right for one or maybe two people
The bed was so comfy I didn't want to get up in the morning
The host was very accommodating seeing that my schedule was messed up including both arrival and departure
Clean comfortable and fairly priced especially for a holiday weekend where a lot of places price gouge
I didn't have time to eat at the restaurant Onions but as I was leaving there were people having lunch and the wait staff was ready to help me but I unfortunately had to run
I will stay there again

From the time we entered the inn the staff was very attentive.. She escorted us to our room and showed us around. We had a delicious breakfast and very reasonably priced
Not the hotels fault but our only problem was there are not a lot of Uber or Lyft drivers in the area to get people to and from the concert venue in Gilford
