Great location and the room size
Our TV did not work upon arrival. There was a used Band-Aid sitting on top of the blanket on the bed. Thoroughly disgusting. I called at 8:30 in the morning for extra towels by noon we left because we had things to do and never received our towels upon arriving back to the hotel at around four there still was no towels. I had to call down to the desk to get towels Again. On returning to our room, we realize it had not been cleaned when calling to the front desk. They said they only cleaned every third day. It would’ve been nice to know upon check-in.. I understand not cleaning thoroughly each day, but at least coming in and pulling up the beds, emptying the trash and collecting dirty towels and replacing them would have been nice. the showerhead in the bathroom was not attached properly to the wall, and it was turned towards the wall, so it was hard to rinse off. There was no way to adjust the showerhead to be able to rinse thoroughly.

Never got to eat because I wasn't able to stay due to my payment choice..they don't accept paypal!!
The lady at the front desk was so rude and. Unhelpful. Customer service sucked big time

Everything was OK. Nothing outstanding. Yes, it is historic because of age (originally from 1917). Feels that it is still much better than sourrounding other facilities. Has very nice grounds (garden) behind hotel, pool looks nice. Enough parking. You feel safe there. Staff was helpfull.
Yes, it is OK and maybe above but most things could be better. Opinion is based on the room I stayed in. Most equipment is dated, plugs are loose in electrical sockets, Bathroom fan is archaic and loud. Windows are already old and hard to operate, borderline of broken opening mechanism. Elevators and controls had issues with indicator light and loose wall panels but obviously work well. More investment, less cost cutting, and more attention to maintenance details would make it so much much better.

great location, pet friendly and historical.
a little microwave would have been a nice addition to the mini fridge

A lot of history and it’s absolutely beautiful. Wonderful decorations during Christmas time.
Nothing that could be fixed!

The old section of the hotel needs sprucing up. Paint, carpet replacement, etc.

The Santa Maria Inn itself is a well-preserved throwback to the “grand hotel” era. It stands apart proudly in an otherwise typical small city’s downtown business district.
There’s nothing to change; the property itself is authentic to the past without being too dated, The public areas inside are lovely. Our room was functional, roomy, and clean. We slept really well!

large room
furnishing we’re very worn out with scrapes everywhere. Hair everywhere which was pretty gross. really uncomfortable pillows and squeaky bed.
4.5
beautiful property, well managed comfortable room. easily accessible location. although we could hear traffic noises through the windows we were not disturbed by sounds of other guests or loud TV’s through the walls. two thumbs up!

Lovely historic feel at the hotel. Room was very clean and comfortable. The lady who checked us in even changed our room when she saw my husband walks with a cane and gave us a room that wasn’t so far down the hall.
Everything was perfect.

It was a lovely surprise. Historic parts lovely and well kept up - newer parts well integrated. Room was spacious, light and airy. Couldn't have been nicer.
Food prices a bit high - but it is an upscale establishment.

Good location on a main street with lots of dining options

it was close to the city center and affordable
Hotel keys did not work. Me and my family heard a woman moaning sexually from another room in the hallway outside the our room. Management gave us another room further down the hallway. the room was very bare. The old style of the INN made it extremely creepy at night.

it was too old with hardly any good ambience and cleanliness wasn’t upto the mark
With the same amount I could hv easily got radisson

I loved the location, the staff was so friendly and helpful. The place has great potential, good bones.
The breakfast buffet was so expensive and the food was awful. The room was not the cleanest and the mattresses were a bit lumpy.

Not a thing.
They put me in a pet room, with stained carpets and a horrible smell. We are allergic to dogs , I went down and asked to change rooms and all they did was argue with me saying there was no more rooms available. I reserved a room with a king size bed with a view, but did not reserve a pet room. I was completely disappointed that they didn’t give me the room that I had paid for, I had to ask for the manager they finally found me a somewhat suitable room that still needed a lot of maintenance, it was better but not by much.
