I I wanted to love this place with its cool manager and historic character. But with the electricity failing and whateve
Great vintage feel, each room different and the sum felt very LA.
Not good sound proofing. Electricity tended to short out/fail. There were bedbugs or mites. Never saw them, but left with at least half dozen red itchy bites.

Cheepest option in LA, expect a bed, nothing more.
Great location.
It has not been renovated since the President was called Kennedy, John F. Kennedy that is. Everything is old and you might find yourself back in the 30s. However, great location, the staff is extremely friendly. You get the basics for relatively “cheap” LA prices. If you’re looking for just a place to sleep this is your safest bet.

Wouldn’t stay there again
The location was good and the manager was a nice person
Everything was really old. The shower leaked so bad that the whole bathroom was flooded after every shower. There was blood or something orange/red on our sheets when we got there. The pillows were paper thin. No AC.

Disappointed, but you pay for what you get, oh well
no breakfast offered
The first two nights I could not get in the lobby and later found out the key did not work, had to spend the night at friends apt three blocks away. Did report it to management, but I checked out early, three days instead of five days stay.
