Breakfast was really good cooked to order

The only thing good about this hotel is that it has a car park and short cut walk into the town. I must have drawn the short straw with my room like going back in time, old wood furniture, the bathroom cold tap was loose the sink plug rusty and the shower condiments tray was rusty. To top of all this, the fridge in the wardrobe kept me awake vibrating on and off all night long, the vegetarian breakfast was average and to my horror dogs in the dining room while guests are eating, very unhygienic.
Kept awake with a fridge in the wardrobe vibrating all night and dogs in the dining room when guests are eating.

The room was clean, plenty of room for chest of drawers and hanging clothes. Easy access to centre of town.

Breakfast was offered as full English & a choice of other variations. Although on second day we were happy for a more continental.
No complaints.

We were happy with our room and food.We found Paul & Lorinda very polite & helpful nothing was too much trouble. It was very quiet and relaxing which we enjoyed.
Steep Hill to the Hotel as we both have arthritus in our knees. We were hoping to get a bus for some of our trips but used the car anyway

A lovely old house , converted into a charming hotel that is conveniently situated for the town centre and the sea front. We had a large comfortable bedroom and there was a good choice for breakfast. It is beautifully decorated which is an ongoing project. The bus stops are close by if you want to explore further afield.
Only minor dislikes. The sink in our room was in the bedroom which is not ideal . There was plenty room to extend the shower room to incorporate it, so hopefully this may be part of the renovation plan. The entrance to the hotel is very narrow, especially with a large car so great care is needed. Ilfracombe is a hilly town and the last approach to the hotel is very steep. Obviously not the hotels fault but worth noting.

Warm welcome, close to town centre but quiet. Lovely breakfast. Spacious room and en suite.
Decor, great the owners have retained the beautiful tiles on the ground floor and the 'lincrusta' panels below the dado.

Friendly and attentive owners. Small, but adequate and comfortable room. Handily situated, with short walk to High Street and Seafront. Nice breakfast.
Off street parking, but a bit tight.
