Location
The staff was exceptionally rude and when I did not show obsequious response they accused me of being rude.
I finally refused to stay there and demanded a refund.
4pm check in.
They wanted drivers license of every person in the room.
They complained about how I parked temporarily to check in, despite it was out of the way and left sufficient parking for many other cars. I've traveled in many countries and I am always courteous.
They were just plain rude for no reason .
I am a retired doctor .I try to show respect for everyone. They made it hard for me to contain my frustration with their ridiculous behavior.

Nice, but small room.

Nothing exceptional, but the manager did refund our money and the front desk staff were friendly
The pictures did not at all represent the room. Bathroom was the only updated part, mold around the tub though. Carpets were disgusting and the room smelt musty. Bedding is very minimal, two pillows on each queen, no comforters and the sheets and blanket thin (not at all like the pictures). Furniture was beat up and there was a lot of dust all over. Walls/doors were dirty, scratched and dinged throughout.

I didn't catch the breakfast. The booking was rediculas. The booking agent made nothing clear and caused me alot of concern. Called and experienced agent didn't understand the issues and tried to sell me a higher price room. They couldn't resolved the issue with the existing I wasn't going to trust for anything else. On line booking was asinine after 3 trys it was scary. Billing is weird, I was charged their cancelation fee twice still waiting for that to be screwed up. Motel was very clean quiet and comfortable. I'd stay again but I wouldn't use on-line booking. They do not understand issues.

It was in good shape, nicely decorated, I was pleasantly surprised because from outside I wasn't expecting much. I'd definitely recommend this motel. Thank you.

We were happy with almost everthing
My husband did not sleep well. Mattress was very firm

The room was clean, spacious (had a desk to sit at/laptop area) and enough space to move about.
Not much room for more than 1 suitcase.
So if traveling in a pair or family, there was 1 luggage rack but not a lot of room/space to lay down your suitcases.
Check in was listed on the front office from 4pm ONLY.
But we returned to the hotel around 345pm from exploring the town and waterfront, to see someone was in the office and we checked in 15mins early.
They really don't want you to arrive before 4 o clock as even the front desk staff are out cleaning rooms.

It is a motel and right off the main street with traffic all-night but I use earplugs and they did their best to accommodate. So: Comfortable bed, clean room and affordable for positives
Nor much 'didn't like' but some things that might put another off: noisy (I use earplugs so was not a problem), dated and worn furniture and rugs, and not enough towels for balance. We would stay again but if you are looking for something that pops, you'd probably want something else, this one is functional and worked since we weren't there much.

The room was very clean and smelled nice. I liked the coffee machine and microwave. The shower was great with decent pressure and hot water. There was just enough parking for guests. There was coffee and tea in the reception area in the morning. The location was convenient by car or on foot. I found the WiFi and TV worked well too. The property accepted my credit card without a problem.
I have nothing negative to say about the experience. Unfortunately, we arrived a bit late but the staff was nice to let us into our room which was appreciated unfortunately they were not able to see our messages sent through the Booking application that we would be arriving a bit late. Overall the property exceeded my expectations and I stay at a lot of independent and chain hotels/motels. It was a bit more expensive than I would have liked but there weren't many other affordable options available last minute.

Location was awful—extreme road noise day and night—trucks vibrating the building.

I/we decided not to stay at the motel because the area of town where it was located and the people hanging around outside made the place feel unsafe.
The appearance of the motel on the outside and the "vibe" that it didn't seem safe.

Nothing
The room was outdated, furniture scratched and chairs and sofa need the upholstery cleaned it was all very dirty.

everyone around us was noisy upstairs

Loved the location and the staff. The rooms were a little on the small side but the price was lower also.
The inside of the bathroom door had some blood on the handle and area. We cleaned it off so that was a little odd but the room seemed clean otherwise

We loved the Astoria Rivershore. When we arrived I had forgotten to ask for a ground floor room ( I was in a lower leg cast.) I was told that all the doubles with kitchens on the ground floor had been reserved....but...just a minute. Our host radioed Heidi, the cleaning impresario, and Heidi said she could finish one up as soon as she got one towel out of the dryer. We were in business! We were worried about noise....but did not have to worry. The back bedroom let us sleep like babies! The beds were awesome, the place was clean, and the shower was great. The kitchen had very limited furnishings. A few dishes, breakfast bowls, glasses, coffee mugs, 4 pans (no pots), a few utensils......but lots of coffee. There were plenty of towels and pillows. An extra plus was the view out of our window, across the road, of the Columbia river. Yes this is an older remodeled motel, that still shows it age, on a noisy street, but the price (value!), the room and the staff made our one nite stay quite enjoyable.
Could have used more equipment in the kitchen.

The price was too high for the accommodations! Our room had a long narrow corridor we had to walk down to get to the small bedroom area.

good location very clean
no rooms on bottom floor
