Overall great location walking distance to all things in Uptown Birmingham.

Angel and the staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful.

No fitted bed sheet on the king bed, some new flat sheet deal that didn’t keep the mattress covered.

Would stay again!!

Loved the connection to the Legacy Arena! Made it so easy to get to and from the venue.

Only issue we had was our bathroom sink didn’t drain well at all!! It held water for a very long time.

The refrigerator not working definitely made things hard at times throughout our stay. And it was an uneasy feeling find

Location was great. View of Protective Stadium was great.

Our refrigerator didn’t work. We brought food for our 11 month old that went bad. We found a walkie talkie in our room under a chair. I assume it was from staff. I turned it off and left it on the counter by the table. The phone by the bed made noises randomly throughout entire stay. It would be really nice to have a microwave in the rooms for people with children. Kids get hungry at odd times and it would be nice to be able to heat up some macaroni and cheese. It can also make things difficult with infants/toddlers that need bottles throughout the night.

Too pricey for an upscale hotel, that isn’t upscale or worth the price

Location

Cleanliness. There was a musty odor in the room. Bathroom could have been cleaner, I think they should deep clean around the edges of showers and fixtures.

Overall pricey but ok

Very quiet and comfortable. Staff was very professional

Didn’t like people soliciting money when you go outside. It makes you not feel safe. The bath floor has black mold in a couple places and the mirror was broke. The large mirror had a melted spot. Mirrors, not what I expect from Westin. Moldy floor totally unacceptable. Fridge is in a closet with no receptacle????

Horrible.

The location was fine and the bed was soft

When I arrived I noticed that my shower had no door and the room hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly. Throughout my stay I steadily found trash that was not created by me or my partner. The shower and bed had hair strands in it as if the sheets hadn’t been changed properly and the shower wasn’t cleaned properly. The shower had mildew in it and it was disgusting. My partner and I were celebrating an important milestone in our relationship so we didn’t have time to complain and decided to just write up a review about our stay. The staff didn’t clean the room the entire time we stayed which means we never got fresh towels or sheets during our stay which seemed unusual because house keepers usually knock daily to clean the room. We did notice the maids on our floor and they were extremely unprofessional but polite. They were on their phones which is fine if they CLEANED properly, and on top of that they were on speaker phone so I was able to hear their entire conversation. My partner and I left the hotel at around 10am for shopping and lunch and we returned around 5pm and the maids were literally in the same spot as they were when we left. This hotel is far too expensive for their to be issues with professionalism and cleanliness. I paid $614 for two nights and upon checking out I was charged an additional $287. I was told it would be refunded but this is impractical because I was already charged $614.. so why charge an additional night and then refund it. This led to my credit card over-drafting temporarily and I’m still waiting for my funds to return. Overall, I will never stay at a Westin by Marriott in Birmingham again. The best western is far cheaper and provided me with much more. Also, where’s the microwave in the room? Wayyy too expensive for such a poor experience.

Not the quality we expected from a Westin.

Rooms were not clean. Shower had gunk all in it. Hair on the floor. sheets and pillow cases had stains . lights were covered in dust .
