Rooms where confortable.
Kind of noisy because of the highway near to the hotel.

We stayed there for convenience since I was an author at a convention held in the Texas Ballroom. It was convenient for that purpose. Lobby was clean and very nice. Plenty of seating for my helpers for the convention. Convention center was great except the lack of power access for individual booths. Staff at checkout was kind enough to remove parking fee as we parked on the convention side since we were there for a convention.
The room was mediocre at best. I expected better from the hotel for the price and star level. It has been renovated but very shoddily. The flooring was loose in the sink and closet area. Stains in the floor under the sink. And the mirrors had not been wiped down between guests. Someone else's makeup and fingerprints were all over them. One of the glasses in the room had the remnants of a drink dried in the bottom of the glass. There was a mini fridge as promised in one room but none in the other room. There was, laughably, a wine chiller that barely cooled off a soda can in the closet of both rooms. This place gives the appearance of being "high end" without delivering and nickles and dimes you for everything. We did not have breakfast as it amounted to a fancy looking continental breakfast and cost nearly 20 dollars each.
Also, nowhere on booking.com is there a warning that you will pay a 50 dollar deposit per room upfront even if the room was already paid in full on booking.com. my husband was running errands with my card when I checked in so I had to borrow money from my daughter to pay this bc I was unaware that after paying 300 dollars up front, I would have to pay an additional 100 that would be returned to me "in the next 30 days."
Rooms were so dimly lit that I had difficulty applying make up without opening the windows. Hallways dimly lit, too warm and humid. Only 3 elevators for 18 floors. Bottom floor gives the illusion of elegance and a top notch hotel. Rooms are a huge disappointment.
Also it was vague whether or not we would be charged for wifi in our rooms until checkout. Staff hesitated to give wifi password to conference room wifi for us to use point of sale devices for our table.
My husband called down to front desk to tell them about the room and the man who checked us told him someone would come clean the room and never did. I used wet wipes to clean the mirror off.

The view and the room was great.
That there was only one elevator working for 19 floors and had to go to different floors to get ice. The paying for parking was so not great have gone to many hotels and never had to pay for parking. And the WiFi if I want the best I had to pay $14.95 but free WiFi was the worst. I just believe if you are top notch hotel and I'm paying that I should have to pay for parking or wifi should been A-1.

My car was stolen from the parking lot. I was informed by officers there had been theft of high end vehicles from the hotel parking lot. No one warned us that high in cars were being stolen. Then we were charged for parking !
Failure of staff to warn high end vehicles being stolen from parking lot. We were charged for parking.

We liked the free parking and the staff was nice. It was very luxurious inside! The hotel bathroom setup was really nice but the room looked a little small.
When it came down to our hotel room. The sink was clogged & we could hear everything outside of our door. Also why is there no bathroom fans?

Very nice and clean room! Very quiet also!
2.5
the location and the lobby
The rooms were small and so was the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was terrible. Can’t believe I even paid for that. Holiday Inn breakfast was better than this and half the price.

Clean, free late check out
As a solo traveler, I was not notified in advance that the city view room had two conjoined doors. That was unacceptable.also tvs are placed against walls with beds on the other side. I was up all night one night due to the loud noise of a tv. Luggage carts were non existent when leaving as well. Pool hours are too short.
