Spacious rooms.
Nothing everything was amazing!

Location is great, right on the beach. Staff was friendly and went out of their way to recommend restaurants. They also gave me the option of whether I wanted my room cleaned everyday or not. Afternoon free wine and cheese was very fun and gave me a chance to meet other guests.
Breakfast provided was very disappointing, It's from 7:30 to 10:00 am. Yesterday I went at 8:45 and they were out of bananas, hard boiled eggs and yogurt. They didn't have any cereal or milk. They did have bagels and a couple flavors of cream cheese, I'm not a bagel person so i skipped that, coffee was good, as were the muffins. There was no coffee maker in my room, although a couple of guests said they had one. Today I went at 7:45 (early bird) and there was one other person there, 3 hard boiled eggs were out and again no bananas, 5 yogurts. I hope they refilled stuff, but decided to stick with the coffee. Very skimpy., especially compared to other places I've been.

Awesome view and location. love the grounds and well kept. Chocolate chip muffins were 10/10.
The bed was ok 7/10 and bathroom seemed dated,

Amazing views from this cliffside property. The rooms are modest, but everything is perfectly maintained and cleaned. And again... there is no better location in all of Santa Cruz.

The staff was amazing. Thank you so much for all the help. I always come back for the scones. They are the best!
My stay could not have possibly been better. I really enjoyed it. Thank you.

Great location, cute rooms
No laundry in site:(

location, view, staff, rooms, EVERYTHING
our first night was a little loud because of the patrons staying upstairs - they were heavy walkers. I also would have liked a bathtub for the kids.

The bed was comfortable, and the view was amazing. They surprised us with an upgrade and our room was fantastic! The staff was incredibly friendly, answered all of our questions and were very accommodating.

the location and design of the room
no sound proof walls I got a complaint for having my tv “loud”

Perfect spot to watch the waves w a glass of wine on private patio. Good continental breakfast with a great view. Bed was great. Right in the West Cliff bluff path so you can walk for several miles.
Like most motels, the pillows leave something to be desired.

cookies were good
breakfast and cheese and crackers
fireplace high on the wall

The view is amazing! Great view of the beach, the boardwalk, the wharf, and Monterey Bay. The property is older but very clean, comfortable, homey, quiet, and well kept with pleasant grounds right on the bluffs above the beach, and comfortable Adirondack chairs for nice outdoor seating. The continental breakfast is generous and delicious and nicely served. The staff is attentive and pleasant. A great value!
Since the property is older, there was some noise when the people above us walked around or took a shower; otherwise, this is a very quiet property.

Kids running around upstairs couldn’t sleep

The staff was very accommodating. The room was very clean and the view was beautiful. The parking was free and the location of the gotel is walking distance to the beach and many spot to eat. Great place. Can't wait to stay there in the future.

The staff here were so friendly and it was refreshing to have a hotel/inn go out of their way with nice amenities like fresh baked goods in the am, cookie hour and wine and cheese hour...included! The gas fireplace and ocean views were lovely. I will definately stay here again and it is much better than the Dream Inn next door. Newer isn't always better.

Great location and views. A smaller hotel.
The parking is for smaller vehicles. The entrances are heavily crossed by walking, cyclists, skateboarders and cars.

Location and atmosphere
Wearing masks and the fireplace was disappointing. The breakfast was not a real breakfast.

The location and view was AMAZING!! Nice little continental breakfast.
The room was clean and tidy, but the grounds could probably be maintained a little better. Not bad just felt a little less than pristine.

Location was great with awesome views!
Afternoon tea and evening wine and cheese was a nice touch.
Beds were horribly uncomfortable and overall run down rooms.

The location was excellent. Very close to the Boardwalk and pier. The view from our window was wonderful. And being able to see and hear the waves all day and night was the exact experience we wanted. The hotel provided a light breakfast that was delicious. The muffins and scones were freshly baked. The staff very helpful and congenial. The outdoor seating and patios are very nice areas to sit and relax.
Just wish that there was another area indoors besides the common dining room to sit and talk. But other than that it is a great place. The weather didn't cooperate and the rain limited our exploring.

The staff was extremely friendly and even went out of their way to decorate my room with rose petals. The view was amazing and the music of the waves is unforgettable.
The bed wasn’t the most comfortable but we didn’t mind it.
4.4
The view was absolutely amazing. The fireplace in the room was the perfect touch and the scones in the morning were the best I've ever had. The staff was also very friendly.
The lighting and the restrooms could be a little nicer, but the restroom was already quite nice.
